Wow incredible ep one of the best of the series.

A+, keeps getting better

I like how they are not making Walt into some superhero now, he's really "breaking bad" and is getting darker each ep, it was always apparent and hinted at, but now its in yo face

Basically. Yeah I was wondering how they were going to tie in that class lecture with the plot of the show (by the way, that principal was hot wtf). It was strange to have a long scene that ostensibly didn't connect with the episode, but then you realize he's comparing his own relationship to Elliot and Gretchen with the relationship between that scientist and GE or whatever. Good stuff.

By season 4 he's going to be Scarface. The former aw-shucks bumbling high school teacher will be no more, and he'll be an experienced, hardcore, menacing drug dealer. Interesting to see the slow transformation.

There was one point during his "talk" with Skylar where Walt gives a little chuckle and then catches himself, like he can't believe Skylar is buying the **** he's feeding her.

Great episode, but I kinda missed how or why the ATM actually opened. It looked like Jesse just rubbed it on the side a little bit and it popped open? Or maybe the bottom was actually the weakness, and the structural integrity was compromised by Spooge's head?

that's what i'm talking about. he's getting there - but i'd still give him a 5/10

safe opened the same way it did in bad santa imo

seriously the addicts were scary good this episode

The scene with Skylar reminded me of the one with Tuco where he finds out that Tuco thinks Gonzo is cooperating with the DEA.

He talks kind of slowly and carefully, searching for the right words. On the one hand, you can see the gears turning as he puts together his lie, and at the same time he's kicking himself, can't believe his good luck that he's found a plausible line in the middle of the mess he is in.

def one of the top 3 best episodes of either season one or two. The whole meth head situation and the kid was awesome. I wanted to go get him myself and take him somewhere better. fk methheads.

fk people who sell drugs to methheads? like the heros of this show?

I like how the show doesn't appear to skirt the contradiction, and it seems its all gonna meet soon.

This show just locks you in for the whole episode.

The bug scene, the woman delivering the mail, and the little kid made made Jesse's trip to the methheads intense - and the mail scene was actually pretty funny.

I don't really look at these guys as heroes - just the central characters. You do pull for them, but I don't expect them to behave perfectly in all situations - sometimes they will be smart - sometimes they will make bad decisions.

just watched the latest episode for like the 4th or 5th time.

what a show, does it get any better?

I'm convinced the only way this show could be better is if they somehow got stringer bell on it

Does anyone feel this show getting way darker? I have a feeling from now on there will be less and less humor and more f'd up craziness, walt is getting evil

ygos? i'm pretty sure idris elba being involved in anything that is not the wire is official confirmation that something that used to be good now sucks, for examples see guy ritchie movies and the office

although i do have to admit that "obsessed" looks like it could be a cinematic masterpiece, so i could be wrong

The characters in this show are just super intense, and very believable at the same time. Weeds was great but U-Turn and co were just way too unbelievable. Dexter was a great character but not really believable IRL.

The "Making of Breaking Bad" videos on amctv.com are great.

The Office is way down but I like Stringer's character. He wouldn't fit in in this show for some reason though, maybe Kima.

Also I think the color palette for each episode this season has been darker than the week before.

now that i think about it i could definitely see bubbles in breaking bad, would be way better casting than his role on terminator: tscc

I've noticed this as well, though a lot of this past episode was spent in that dank junkie house, so not sure how much to make of it.

stringer bell makes any show better. what, are there no black guys in the southwest? I lived in tucson for awhile, there were a few.

You could see how enraged he was talking about the G.E. situation, then he had to stop himself when he realized no one listening identified with his anger.

Frankly, the meth house part of the episode was hard for me to watch. Creepy.

The tension is brutal, but the comedic lines are so deep as well as dark. Walt is in a perpetual state of grimace, feeding on some kind of anger. Meanwhile new drug kingpin Jesse Pinkman, this goofball who mostly seems to want a little direction in life, has somehow bumbled his way into five murders, connection to a sixth, and a variation on a bank job.

i really liked the solution to the problem even though it was all wrapped up so neatly. husband dead, woman goes to jail, kid gets taken into childcare, jessie gets money back and doesnt have to kill anyone. Its more satisfying than what i thought would happen, they just get someone else to kill them.

I think Walt is becoming more primal as he loses his morality, hence him bending over his wife against the fridge and becoming more sexual and angry
