Next weekend is usually my favorite sports weekend of the year. All 8 teams play.

I'm done watching the NFL this year. Just so terrible.

The losing is just ingrained too deep. Forget ever winning a Super Bowl, this team probably never wins a playoff game the rest of our lives.

No team in pro sports reps losing like this piece of **** franchise. Whatever needed to happen for us to lose was going to happen. Like Aaron Rodgers failing on a 4th/3 with the game on the line in playoffs? Never....

Same ole Lions

Not even excited for next season, don't think there's a chance that stafford gets better.

Hey lions fans. I know there is bound to be lots of sad/mad in here, but I wanted to say good game. Lot of respect for the fight in the Lions today. Suh is a beast.

Barring a Stafford turnaround miracle I pretty much will have a "meh" attitude as long as stafford is the starter.

Yeah what on earth is there to possibly be excited about with this team going forward?

We need to trade Calvin.

I feel cheated after that debacle. The Lions didn't play perfect but they played well enough to win. Mike Pereira, officiating god, sitting in the booth saying that call was PI was a giant kick in the nuts. **** the NFL.

Any game where the refs have a huge outcome on the game (basically everything other than baseball) just isn't real. Hockey isn't too bad, but we've already had an nba ref who was fixing games get caught.. Lord knows the league obviously have the cowboys a hand or two today.

Sports just aren't real life.

draft needs for next season:

CB, CB, OL, OL, OL, CB/KR, OL

seem about right?

Hey good game lions, from your favorite packers fan. I was rooting for you, I honestly thought you were the better team and were rigged.

You probably weren't winning the super bowl but deserved that game.

Seriously. Going into next season without some kind of starting QB competition shows a commitment to mediocrity. We have two of the top WR in the NFL and all we have to show for it is a below average offense and a first round exit. This all during a year with one of, if not the best defenses in the NFL that is likely to regress to above average when Suh leaves.

Finding a better QB isnt easy, but to not even try after 6 meh seasons of Stafford would be stupid.

How much of the offenses struggles were on Lombardi/Caldwell?

Passing yards: 12th
Rushing yards: 28th, 3.6 ypc
Sacks allowed: 11th most (45 -- no playoff teams allowed this many sacks)

QB/WR isn't the main problem.

Caldwell had Baltimore at 3.1 ypc last year IIRC

Lions running game was pathetic. Ebron is a disappointment but not a bust yet. Stafford played lousy in the second half in that he held the ball too long too many times. Then we have the passes being deflected at the line of scrimmage. Stafford isn't good at extending plays with his legs at all. Looks to me like the Lions kind of miss Scott Linehan. Dallas is going to put points on the board and Tony Romo played well in the 2nd half. Detroit just didn't put enough on the board as their offense fizzled in the 2nd half.

25th in completion pct.
21st in QBR.

Pretty much the worst of the playoff QBs besides maybe Dalton, another one and done luckbox. The line will be ok with Swanson at C and some health on the right side. You do a lot of passing when playing from behind, and Stafford holds the ball too long.

Not saying they couldnt use more depth at OL, but NFL teams live and die by the QB, and I dont think this team is ever going to be more than occasional wildcards behind staff.
