We are gonna get bounced next weekend for sure. Dallas playing like one of the best teams in the league right now. We have been pretenders all year as we haven't beat anyone good and luckboxed numerous victories to get where we are right now. The defense is pretty good no doubt but the offense is mega-aids and can't score any points against a halfway decent defense. Stafford is on the Cutler career trajectory basically.

C'mon man. I'm no Stafford defender but aside from a few more incompletions his line was not all that far off from Rodgers in this one. 3TD's, 0INT's is going to win a lot of NFL games.

The punt return had some sketchy blocks. The intentional grounding call was BS, there were 2 receivers in the area of that ball. This was a competitive game, at Lambeau. GB is the better team, but not by much.

Seattle, Denver, and NE are on a whole other level and have got to be the odds on favorites to win the SB this year. GB will have to win an upset or 2.

As for the Lions, I know I should be excited about an 11-5 finish and a second trip to the playoffs in my adult life, but I'm not. We're like what, a dozen plays from being 6-10? I know it's the NFL, parity, close games, any given Sunday, blah blah blah, but this just feels like the same team of the last 4 years with a better defense and some run good.

The only thing we have done consistently since Stafford has been on the team is lose to other good teams. The only team we beat this year that had a winning record was GB at home. So we finished 1-4 against winning teams. Seems about right. If we've got roughly a 20% chance of winning any playoff game, that makes our SB equity less than 1%. Yep, seems about right.

Stafford's accuracy is just not on par with good NFL QB's. He is the definition of mediocrity. NFL teams live and die by their QB's. The division winners all have QB's that I would consider better than Stafford. Barring any post season miracles, I think going into this offseason with a plan to start Stafford next season without any sort of QB competition is stupid. We know Orlovsky is pretty bad, and while Moore played well in a few pre-season appearances, a Division 2 hero with a weak arm is pretty unlikely to be the guy. We've either got to burn a pick on a "backup" or bring in someone whose wasting away on a bench somewhere.

That said, we're in the playoffs bitches. Anything can happen. Go Lions!

Agreed. There are at least half a dozen teams in the NFL with way more Super Bowl equity than us, and none of them have Ndamukong Suh on on their team. I don't buy this whole "we need him" bull****. Yes, he's probably our best defensive player, and a big part of why our defense has been so good this year. But so what. Other teams have figured out how to win without him, we can too.

I stand by my previous statement that this incident may have easily cost him $1Mil+ off of his next contract, and he's likely played his last game as a Lion.

Yes he's played his last game as a lion. No the team won't be able to learn to win without him, at least not quickly. I don't claim to be an expert, but the general consensus is that Suh absolutely dominates the middle of the line and completely changes the defense. Losing him takes the defense from great his year to maybe above average, maybe average it would seem. As someone else stated, we have a 12-4/13-3 defense and a 4-12/3-13 offense right now, which would put us in the 6-10 to 10-6 range overall, then we had some run-good this season to get to 11 wins. Take that defense down to an average or above average level, and you've got a sub-500 team all but guaranteed

It was enjoyable to get to respectable for parts of this season, but expect to regress pretty hard next year.

really starting to feel like Suh suspension will be overturned.. sounds like the incident is being looked at as a single incident and the appeals "officer" will not take into consideration any of Suh's history, the suspension will be solely for the single play on GB.. and that is not a suspendable offense..

do you honestly believe if anybody but Suh did this, they would be suspended? You can't take into consideration of any of his past, its some random player and this happened, no way it would be a suspension
