The point is he's not *really* confident the Lions are going to win, and offering it is the quickest way to point that out, rather than doing the whole "they are so!" "nuh uh!" "uh huh!" "My dad can beat up your dad!" back and forth.

They really can't hold back in this game. It's high variance time.

I'd like to debunk the urban myth that Stafford is primarily responsible for all the road losses against teams with winning records. Final 2011 Regulation Season Game Packers vs. Lions

Stafford 520 yards, 5 TD passes, 8.8 yes per attempt, 103.5 QB rating 87.5 ESPN QB rating. There is nothing wrong with these numbers. Matt Flynn of all players set many Packer passing records in that game as Aaron Rodgers sat out. Lions defense was obviously that main reason for the loss as it had little to do with how Staffoed played. Lions defense is playing much better now. Megatron and Stafford are healthy plus they have Tate and a better running game. Dallas has improved on 'D' over last year with Marinelli as DC but their 'D' was probably the worst in the league last year. Lions actually match up with Dallas pretty well in this game.

I'm on 3 hours of sleep. Ran terrible in my session last night (bricked out 11 straight $50 DONs when I'm cashing @ 62% over 5K games) but the games were the softest I've ever seen, so couldn't stop playing.

Not tired though. I don't think my body will allow me to get in a nap before the game, way too ****ing amped.

No chance Caldwell goes high variance. He's a big fan of "superbowl winners don't have turnovers" and is going to play it conservatively, just like he has all year long.

He's sitting on an 11-5 record, no way in hell he's sitting in the locker room thinking, "time to abandon the plan that got us here, and also the philosophy I've had my entire career!"

The only way we're going to see tons of long bombs/close your eyes and pray signature Stafford play is if they're down by 20 in the middle of the 4th.

Only way this game comes up in the Lions favor is going to be the same way they've been getting wins all year: Let the monster defense keep the other team from putting up big numbers, and hope a play-it-safe offense can squeak by.

If my life was on the line I really think I'd bet Detroit. I do believe in the choke gene being real, and I think Romo possesses it.

Not that Stafford is good at football or projects to be that much better in a game like this.

One thing's for sure, Stafford and Romo are both playing with something to prove.

Dallas 4-4 at home, 8-0 on the road and they are playing in Big D. Dez Bryant and Demarco Murray are real challenges for the Lions D. Tony Romo is having an excellent season. Dallas has an excellent OL. Lions offense will have to step up in this game for the Lions to win but it is capable of doing that.
