I have a baaaad feeling about these two games against the nats...

I think the only way Heyward is gonna be up this year is if the injury bug bites the OF or everyone starts slumping. Otherwise i'm sure he'll be our starting RF coming out of spring training next year.

Kinda amazing that Chipper and McCann are struggling and we're still winning. Earlier in the year we wouldn't of stood a chance. For us to get in the playoffs they need to get it going though.

Tied with the Fish now in the WC. This is such a huge series this weekend. I really think the Braves need to win 2 of 3 here to keep the momentum going.

Absolutely no reason to have Soriano pitch to Howard.

Current Howard splits:

VS lefties: 193/278/313 with 3 HRs
VS righties: 312/391/665 with 24 HRs

WTF? Leave Gonzalez in to start the 9th ffs.

Plus the Braves got nothing on hard hit balls tonight. Four warning track balls, two of which the gay Hawaiian made stupid catches on.

It's really crazy how many balls the Braves have hit to the warning track the past two days. They are a combined 50 feet from I think 5 home runs.

A couple of clutch wins the past 2 days.

The Rockies play SF and LA next week but then have a cupcake schedule the rest of the way so the Braves need to make up some ground right now. A sweep of SD and a win in the first game of the Philly series with Hanson going against Pedro would be a good start. In the second game it's Lowe vs Lee..ugh.

oh and Prado and Anderson/Church need to get back ASAP. Kelly almost cost us the game today and Gorecki is a hole in the lineup.

I am really not feeling too hopeful that this season ends with making the playoffs. The Rockies are so so hot right now. They very easily could have lost their last 3 games making this a tight race. But they didn't and 5.5 games is a lot at this point in the season.

Barring ATL winning the next 2 in SD and then 5 out of 7 against PHI/FLA I think we are just about done.

The only glimmer of hope outside of that is finishing the season with 10 of the last 13 games against the Mets and Nats, where a big finish could make up some ground.

Col and Philly run too good. I hope we shut Hanson down soon as he's already well past his previous high in innings pitched. Give his spot to Huddy.

Even if we were able to climb close I don't think we'd have enough left in the tank to make the playoffs. Chipper is about dead already..McCann has played tons. Bobby really had no choice but to play them everyday with the injuries. LaRoche gave us a big lift and Diaz has been unbelievable but they can't do it by themselves.

You never know though..maybe we'll win 21 of 22 like the Rockies did in 07 or something.
