+1 for this too. I used to use whoscored, but I don't understand their crossing stats. It has Tadic at 2.7 crosses per game when he has way more than that.

yeah whoscored has Tadic as the league leader too.

I like the shift away from defender clean sheet chasing. Fewer points for the clean sheets and now interceptions and fouls to consider.

Did they say when changes go into effect?

This is lol. My problem isn't with doing math and picking the right players based on the scoring system, my problem is how ridiculously overweight crossing stats are going to end up being relative to goals and assists.

A standard game from a guy like Tierney in the new format will generate anywhere from 10 to 20 points from crosses alone. Goals are worth 10. Cmon man.

What does a big 4 team average for corners in the average game? A little under 10? Getting someone like ozil 10 pts for that is ridiculous. Even a half point is a bit mhch

I am at a loss as to why incomplete crosses are rewarded. I was trying to think of an equivalent, are points given in Fantasy American Football for "Attempted pass yards (incomplete)"?

It seems that is the closest analogy my tiny brain can come up with. I don't get rewarding giving possession away.

Crosses should be like .5 or .25 pts prob.

Ppr is the closest thing.

MLS contests are up, unfortunately it looks as though I'm gonna have to wait a couple weeks to give this a go. DK doesn't have average points for any player. If that's the case for EPL, I'll see ya guys around Thanksgiving when I can grab some historical data.

I don't want to beat a dead horse but this crossing thing is fng annoying.

To make dfs as enjoyable an experience as possible it needs to combine the ability for people to model the outcomes and not have insane variance added unnecessarily, a good sweat, some tilt moments (ie. missing a PK or having your RB get his TD stolen by a white scrub fullback on the 1 yard line) but also "make sense" and represent the sport in a reasonable way.

This much weight on crosses does not jive with the way the sport is played. We all know touches in the final 3rd, through balls and 1-2's around the box are high EV plays but they can't be incorporated into a scoring system .... but making a crossing maniac have a floor that equals many strikers ceiling is ******ed.

Would def like crosses to be nerfed. As it stands though I'm am ecstatic because people will poorly adjust.

It might be good for making money for a few weeks but will make it much less fun to sweat rooting for people to put in a barrage of crosses vs get a goal or assist

I'm with pretty much everyone else, the crosses blow.

And so does this roll out plan, not a big player by any means but not a huge fan with a lot of what DK has been doing lately.

People are overreacting a bit. It doesn't grossly change the points Ppl were getting save for a very select few players(half of which were already good plays anyway). I think the average is maybe 6-8 corners a game per team and that's on the high end usually. Usually split between multiple players. The tackles and interceptions is nice though as it makes CBS and dmids viable value plays without crippling your floor.

So it's an 11-player team now instead of 8 and same salary.

Prices for players were lowered

People in here should be happy. The next 2 weeks will be dead money for anyone who can adjust well.

This is how I currently feel. The players most helped by the changes though have bad Matchups in general though.
