Lloris was literally the worst possible gk you could pick besides Leicesters. Forster was the clear best followed by Adrian. Fabianski and guzan were decent gpp picks. Ospina wasn't too bad but a little more risky for cash.
So suspected pool\utd was a complete fade. Sturridge stats are so good I couldn't stay away but at such high ownership he should have been a fade. I grossly misjudged as I thought he'd be around 30% but it's closer to 70 which is just awful.

really don't understand this at all. how does him being 60-70% matter that much? why is it terrible?
scoring is so terrible. i only had him in one gpp lineup, but i saw suk-young yun put in at least half a dozen crosses and somehow he ended up with 2.75.
it is like the gamble within the gamble to see if they feel like awarding crosses properly in a particular game.
Harder to get higher unique scores if you only have players with high ownership, so you'll end up in more split-winnings situations.
honestly that is a pretty absurd reason. it's a 3 game slate. there will be lots of guy 50%+ owned. i'm perfectly happy having some of the uber expensive players exactly the same as the donks. i want to isolate to the value picks where the edge actually exists. it's tilting to put in a much stronger lineup than someone but then they have someone like aguero who gets 30 in a bad matchup and win anyway.
You need a player to reach their value x% of the time with x being their ownership for them to be a good play in gpps.
With the matchup they have vs united getting 14+ pts will be very hard so 70% is high enough to make sturridge a fade.
Also his ceiling in that game isnt so high that you have to worry about blocking compared to say kane yesterday, or someone like messi/ronaldo in cl who just have massive ceilings and floors.
Generally speaking on most days you should be aiming for ~2x for cash. 2.5x for winning gpps as a rule of thumb.
Sturridge isnt great for cash either due to low floor. Center forwards.generally speaking are awful for cash save for a very select few or if they just have an amazing matchup.
Today was just my 2nd time playing in like 3 months. Vardy rooney and mata came through for me. If de gea doesn't concede that goal I'm prob in big money. should still win my h2h though
