I assume we're free to make roster moves and add/drops once the site is up?

Also, do we have a final, set-in-stone set of rules for the 2010 season? There seemed to be a couple newer items floating around like the X number of $4 drops by week X (I can't remember the details). Can you post the final compilation of all the rules? Thanks

Karak, how familiar are you sportsline's site?

Especially with regards to the Salaries/Wildcards feature. Ive messed around with a it a bit in another league but never completely got it set up.

Is that how we would be planning on tracking the salaries etc?

Id be interested in seeing this as well, I need to go over all of the roster rules before this thing gets started.

I wouldn't trade my draft class for anyones (though i suspect most feel this way). there were loads of picks with no fantasy value/heaps of risk IMO.

Karak up 2x.

Free agents should start as waivers FWIW in case that hasn't been assumed

it hadn't been mentioned, but def agree.

also i'm curious to see CBS's setup to see how reasonable it is to try and auction off FA's, i might be for a switch to straight waiver order and all FA's are $400k.

They have a FAAB feature where everyone is assigned X dollars and people can then bid anywhere from 1-x on a player. Once you run out of the 100 you can no longer bid on players.

Edit- by the way, i have been a commish of 2 leagues using CBS and can answer most technical questions people have regarding the site.

Disagree. You went very heavily with potential to help this year over long-term star potential. A completely reasonable strategy if you are contender this year, but if you think your draft is by far the best, i think you are underestimating the value of upside. Having a league-averge player for min salary this year is nice, having an all-star for league min salary 3 years down the road is probably more valuable though.

Not by far the best, there are a 4-5 other teams I think that drafted really well, but i like my guys.

I feel like there will always be high upside guys available to draft each year. why stock up on them now when they're 2 or 3 years away from even seeing the majors? Especially pitchers.

Can't believe Ramos was still around... when/if he gets traded or if the unthinkable happens (I won't even say it), he's going to have unreal value.

Ramos had an ok year at high A/half year at AA? sick upside. maybe he can be league average at OBP and SLG if he runs hot.

He's a catcher.

An OPS 800+ is pretty nice freaking value.

I'm aware he's a catcher. and ops 800 is nothing to get wet over. unless he starts walking more or hitting for more power he's replacement level - once he reaches majors in 2years ... maybe
