I'm going to compete this year. I want bats, preferably cost controlled, and reliable closers. I have a load of starting pitching, including Camels and Greinke who can be available. Could also deal cheap (in salary) guys like C-Mart, Nola, Garcia, Walker and Teheran. May also move Pedroia, McCann and Santana. Alvarez too if someone wants to take a chance he ends up somewhere nice.

I'll send out PM's tonight, tentative draft can start on 3/1, but I'd guess not everyone ready by then since I havent started getting the slackers attention yet. We need everyone to get cuts in, and everyone to join draft (once i make it).

From what I understand the only rookie I need to promote or cut is Zach Walters, and then I can cut any other rookies with no penalty? I've never done a league like this and didn't really understand the depth of it when I signed up but I've dedicated today to getting on track.

Trade offers will be rolling out within an hour or so.

Also, since Walters should be on your MLB roster (unless I'm wrong, but don't think so), you can hold onto him until MLB cuts are due. Also, if you do decide to hold onto him past mlb cuts, and he starts the season in the minors you can demote him to make room on your MLB team, but his 6 year rookie service clock would still start this year.

So, I have Hamels and Greinke each at $134 in their second year. I think there's value there, and I'd like to trade one or both for a similar bat.

I have a ton of affordable, high quality pitching - Teheran, C-Mart, Santiago, Garcia, Walker, Nola and Giolito and Urias to come. None of them cost more than $10. I'd like to trade some of this pitching for cost-controlled bats.

Also have a load of prospects. Apart from Giolito and Urias, I have Brinson, Anderson, Bradley Zimmer, Mateo, Torres and others. Also a full set of picks. Again wanting cost-controlled bats.
