I may have alluded to my spot a few times in the thread somewhere... can't speak for others.

I play a lot of bartops as I'm mostly a drink mooch in Vegas. Lol

If you're looking for the better returning games on the Strip, this site is pretty informative.

Encore has always been terrible relative to Wynn. Wynn until early this year had multiple full pay machines as low as the dollar level, but those have all been removed. You can still find "ok" machines at the Wynn at 1$ and above, anything below 1$ is garbage.

Not to mention Wynn doesn't comp drinks when playing video poker at the bartops, ONLY out on the casino floor. Terrible casino for low stakes VP grinders.

Video poker is truly the crack cocaine of the casino. I was playing last night (3-play quarters multi-strike) and couldn't stop watching the woman next to me. She had a stack of hundred-dollar bills in her left hand that was probably about 20 grand and was pumping them into the machine like crazy on a 25-hand 50-cent machine (I didn't recognize the game she was playing). The swings were making me dizzy, but I couldn't look away. While I played, she easily put 10 grand into it. I was only playing waiting for a coffee before I left for the night. Luckily for me, I hit a 5x multiplier on a royal and walked away a happy man (no photos, sorry), but I was still disturbed about this woman seemingly pissing away her money.

Charlie's Sports Bar has since this spring. One of the better places to get comped craft beer on the strip. But it's dollar denomination or higher there though.

Nice hits storm! I've been getting crushed, my sun run completely reversed itself and I'm stuck about 30k over the last 1.5 months. Obv no pics worth posting. Trying to coast into the new year with the majority of the roll intact.

Vixen, that's a sweet hit. I remember a spin poker hit like that too back in May 2016- I was getting crushed at the Wynn and rage-tilt tried the spin poker machine next to my dad (never played spin prior). 3 to a royal, spots 1, 3 and 5. Remaining two spots filled in on the center line. Bang- 12k. I didn't even understand what had just happened at the time.

****IMPORTANT INFO FOR VP PLAYERS****

I while back in this thread, someone mentioned that if you mis-hold a card and draw, but would have made a 4OAK, that the casino can review the hand and pay you out.

Most of us, myself included, told him he was absolutely full of ****, and there is no way they would do this.

HE WAS RIGHT. I JUST DID IT IN VEGAS.

So I was playing VP at the bar in Ballys on Thanksgiving night and I got dealt two 6s. I hit both buttons and hit draw, but only one held. The button had been giving me problems all night and was glitchy. I even saw it say "HELD" but then it immediately clicked back off before my finger hit the draw button.

So I say out lout "****, that just cost me a four of a kind" thinking o'well my fault for playing too fast. The bartender immediately said to not hit spin again, and to hit the service button, and they can come review the last 10 hands and will pay me. So I do just that.

The slot attendant shows up and I explain to him what happened. He then radio's for a manager "basically a slot pit boss" and he shows up with a key. He logs into the machine and it shows that I was dealt two 6s on the top, and the drawn two 6s on the bottom, showing both run of hands. He then runs a test on all of the 5 "hold" buttons, and confirmed that 2 of them are glitchy.

He takes my players card and goes to the cage and in 5 minutes returns with my cash.

I told him that I was shocked they would do that, and couldn't even count how many times in the past 10 years that has happened to me and I didnt do anything. He told me that they will do it ONLY if they can review the hands (last 10 hands), and can confirm the buttons are sticky.

He said the situation where they WOULD NOT pay, is if someone is just playing too fast and FORGETS to hold something.

So there ya go. Again this happened at Ballys so I was assume they'd do it at all Caesars properties. I can't confirm MGM would do this.

Nt85,

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I’ve also walked away from a machine feeling like I screwed my self out of (premium) quads on a machine with sticky buttons

Yea sticky buttons are the ****ing devil. You're so used to going smack, smack, smack, DRAW, and if the sticky button is right before the draw its so easy to mis it before the draw.

I'm so freaking glad I now know this and can get paid in the future. It was also kind of cool to see them login to the machine and review the hands. Also the button test was cool to watch. I wanted to take photos so bad to post in this thread, but I didnt want to take any chances. I was just happy they were willing to pay.

What denomination were you playing, if you don't mind answering?

I'd imagine casinos would be a lot more willing to make things right when the hand in question is only worth a couple hundred bucks max. I'd wonder if they'd be as generous if you were on a $10 TDB machine and mis-clicked on a AWAK.

Plus this is all the more reason if I'm on a machine with glitchy/sticky buttons, that I wouldn't even play on it. If there are no other machines available, then I just won't play. That's how much I hate malfunctioning buttons - it overrides even my VP degeneracy.
