Why are hotel rates so high May 1-5?

I'm normally comp at PHo and the 2nd/3rd (Fri/Sat) is like 250/night. Is it just the Kentucky Derby?

I know Aria and Bellagio have free WiFi on the gaming floor, it's slow as hell. Wynn and Venetian also have free WiFi on the gaming floor which is a little faster, not sure about Monte Carlo.

Crushed myself at Bellagio tonight playing 1/3 as lolbad as possible. Dug a $650 hole, then table changed, self pep talked, and left up $300. Our table had more women than men which is always a welcome change.

Now at Silver Sevens for a $6 midnight biscuit breakfast, then time to see if donut guy has more maple crullers.

I've been over to Silver Sevens three times after poker and their cafe is always full. They have two poker tables but both are 2/4 limit.

I know this is Vegas but it still feels a little weird to be in a packed cafe at 0100 on a Wednesday. Good weird.

Coming out to vegas for the 3rd time only at the end of March. Staying @ mgm signature towers with some non poker playing buds. Any good but cheap places to eat around here? Any chance of 20 dollar trick working for a room upgrade? The rooms are all basically suites, and I know this is a busy time for Vegas, but had any one had luck with 20$ trick here? We are 25-29 yrs old and looking to party, where can we find a local liquor store to stock up in our room? Thanks guys!!

Seriously, its Vegas. Could've been a domestic, a murder, metro could've killed another unarmed veteran, maybe a home invasion......Metro probably killed someone imo, standard operating procedure.
