They have lots of non-mainstream music here in the form of records & CDs as well as DVDs, CDs, video games and collectibles. Prices are reasonable. They have several listening stations for music. They sell some used stuff which you can get at a great discount compared to new stuff (tbh I primarily come here just to look for used stuff). The location on Flamingo is slightly bigger (ie more stuff) than the Sahara location for what it's worth.
yeah... ZIA is good for the vegas area, but not great in comparison to other cities. also, there are a few Zia locations so try and go to the one on eastern, it's the biggest I think.
there is also
Record City (two locations).
also
Moondog Records
But this is the biggest store with the biggest inventory... literally hundreds of thousands of records in every category.
Wax Trax
big vivid green building that is converted house. it's got upstairs and down stairs and a basement and inventory from all facets of recording.
one word of advice... the owner is a really ill tempered old curmudgeon. If you want to remain in his store, don't piss him off or he will kick your arse out the front door... the dude just does not give a shyte.
he doesn't like to asnwer to many questions, but he doesnt mind if you wander around his location for hours on end.
he is literally the record Nazi
