I go to Green Valley carwash, it's on Sunset in Henderson. Pretty legit spot, they always detail my car and haven't had any issues.

I've told people, and honestly believe, that given the proper training a high-functioning ******ed person could beat low stakes poker in vegas.

But if his coaching is anything like the the advice he gives in LLNL, no one stupid enough to pay 100 an hour for it has a chance.

$250ea on two of the three thirds... bet $500 to win $750 covering 66% of the main board... less if a single ought and still about 57% if a double ought.

We are breaking it up to bet equally on every single number and have a different charity for each number. Yes, even for 0. Some side action as well but basically split up evenly.

13$ each @ 35/1? that's only $455 to the charity of choice instead of $750

sounds like a good deal anyway you look at it though... have fun.

Will be at 7pm. Side action should bump it up over $500 total and I'm at the B right now seeing about grinding up another $37 or so at 1/3

Great, see you tomorrow night. At least two other 2p2ers (Dominic and the pilot with the OOT AMA thread) should be there.

Related question.

So there is this promoter chick I met a few trips ago.

On a recent trip, we went for a nice dinner and saw Celine Deion (of course, I paid for both). We went back and hooked up afterwards.

Now, am I right to feel that
A) sexy time would not have happened without the fancy dinner and concert
B) therefore, I basically indirectly paid for sex? (Ie. not really different from me paying her in cash and then her buying herself fancy dinner and concert ticket)

Nah, we're sticking to legitimate charities. I'm checking out each one as it is nominated. We now have 37, looks good to go. Anyone is welcome to show up for a sweat or a bet if you want.

Although the V has been quiet the last few days the action has been outstanding.

Wait quiet - but good action? Do tell squid how is this possible? A mere 3 tables of 2/5 were running (sad news)

Good news - only a total of 3 good regs in the casino. Seems all of the young guns have made the trek to LA for gambool, beach, and sun...making teh pokerz low stress and ez

Gramercy, las vegas

Construction is back on at a big mixed-use project that stalled during the recession.

The Gramercy, initially launched as Manhattan West in 2008 and halted in 2009 due to poor residential sales, now has 100 construction workers on its 20-acre site at Russell Road and the 215 Beltway in southwest Las Vegas.

Peak construction employment will hit 500 during the project’s buildout in the next six months, developers said.

Nearly 40 vendors and subcontractors will work the site through fall. Martin-Harris Construction is the general contractor, and Thomas & Mack Development Group is the development consultant overseeing building.

“It’s a sure sign of economic recovery and a positive development for the neighborhood to see construction underway on The Gramercy,” said Clark County Commissioner Susan Brager, who serves The Gramercy’s District F, in a statement. “Every day, progress is made to bring the vision of this exciting development to life that will go a long way in helping to ensure the area’s ongoing vibrancy.”

Residents are scheduled to begin moving into the 500,000-square-foot project, now a rental community, during summer.

The Gramercy will have a nine-story high-rise with 85 units, and an urban village with 160 attached homes surrounding a central park. There’ll also be retail and office space.

Yeah, that sounds like a failure waiting to happen. Can't believe they think there is still demand for that and restarting the project.
