its an apartment complex. Nothing special about it, except its gated and fairly new, which is not typical for the area.

That said, if you have a car and are willing to deal with a 15 minute commute, there are plenty of other options that are likely not to be outside your stated price range.

Personally, I would say look for a place either in the eastern corridor in hendo (so if you look at a map, near eastern road say south of sunset and north of the 215 interchange) ... i guess you would call most of this area silverado ranch. Or the near southwest (coronado ranch) say west of jones and south of the 215.

FML.
Is a little ways off strip a deal breaker? Pieros on convention center does events. Theyre somewhat classy, but also have kind of an old school vegas vibe going on.

how about let everyone loose at the food court?

geez man **** your life. That sound slike a tough crowd to please
Maybe I'm overselling it, but we do have 4 kids 10&under, a senior that eats roughly like a child, and 2-3 steak-well-done-ers. And a parent who "doesn't eat Mexican," but I kind of sympathize since it was a food poisoning thing (...and I do t drink whiskey anymore for a similar reason).

Were probably doing a nice buffet brunch the next morning (hell we might even be doing post-bachelor(ette) party hungover buffet brunch on wedding day) which makes the dinner buffet less attractive anyway, so I shouldn't pin it all on the crowd.

But yes, tough crowd to please. I was voting for Jaleo (even after our relatively disappointing meal at e') but there has to be a slightly more accommodating option. Fine dining is pretty much out (expense + it's a party and there's gonna be some boozin!), which i feel like cuts a huge range of the "American" places out. Off strip is not completely out, but SO and I do want good food, and the off strip places we love are pretty much Thai or Japanese.

It's funny when you know everyone and their food pickiness and you're not even worried about the Celiac and the vegetarian because other people are way pickier and you just dont want to hear anyone bitch.

Battista's was suggested to me, which could be fun. But yeah this is a Saturday at 730 or so, and transportation for 40 is going to be a nightmare.

But honestly this wedding planning is so easy and going so smoothly that this part, while a bit annoying, really doesn't bother me at all.

@Wyman,

Where is the wedding?

Battistas is incredibly central being right beside ballys, and prolly a good fit for the vast majority of your crew, if not all.

Ceremony is out at Red Rock Canyon. Home base for the trip is gonna be MGM (got a Marquee suite as a hospitality suite for the guests, should be really awesome).

I'm sure we're gonna be doing a few group dinners, so yeah I had completely forgotten about Battista's, and it's pretty much perfect for the group -- total comfort food. We'll definitely end up there one night, and I'll run it by bride-to-be for THE dinner.

I really appreciate the suggestions -- please keep them coming if you think of anything.

Thanks. I agree and appreciate this. But at the same time, fiancee and I [I've now referred to her as fiancee, SO, and bride-to-be in the span of 3 posts] travel to Vegas enough that if there's somewhere we want to eat, we can (and will) do it. Getting married in the beautiful canyon is what this is about, and sharing that space (where we got "engaged" -- a formality since we've been together 10 years, but a significant formality) and the Vegas we know and love (much of which is off-strip) with the family is our main goal. We want everyone to be as comfortable as possible, and we are incredibly easy-going, so it's worth it to us to try to find places everyone will enjoy.

Not a deal-breaker at all. That particular restaurant doesn't do it for me, but I definitely appreciate the suggestion. I had no idea that was back there.

My cousin and I will be in Vegas from Aug 21nd till 26th and want to go see KA.
Should we wait for discounters like tix4tonight and buy them the day we want to go or reserver ahead and pay full price? Is it sold out regularly, is August a busy month?

The Yard House at the Red Rock casino is right on your way back and could work:

http://www.yardhouse.com/nv/las-vega...d-rock-resort/

The menu is diverse enough that I think it covers everyone you've mentioned. The only issue is Saturday night and a large group could be a problem - you'd want to make reservations well in advance.

In addition, I don't know how old the kids are, but in the casino, they have a Kids Zone by the movie theaters. Kids Zone is a big enclosed place with adult supervision and there is plenty of stuff for kids to do in there. If you guys are going to stay awhile and the kids are getting bored, you can let them run loose in there (for an hourly fee).

Ka is still the best cirque show in Vegas IMO. I guess it depends on what day you want to go. I personally never found anything significantly below retail for days I wanted to watch.
I paid about 70$ a ticket at mgm, got my tier credits and got row 7 center upgrade. Was worth it.

Saw KA about two weeks ago and was able to get a descent deal straight through the KA official website. Browse through the website first.

I haven't seen any shows yet, my cousin asked for KA as he saw a documentary somewhere. I read some posts saying it's the best in town and some recommend others. I don't care that much honestly as I don't know yet if I like the whole show idea at al..

If I would eat at for example Tao or Hakkasan, can I stay for the nightclub without paying entry fee?

Depends on the room, it is either 6 months, 1 year or forever.
I know Total Rewards is 6 months and I believe TI and Grazie are forever.
I can't remember the others. You can probably find out from their web-page.

I've done this twice at Tao. First time (8 months ago) there was no entry fee, second time (last weekend) they only gave us half-off. So you may want to check beforehand.
