Any site/company you guys recommend for booking it?
Don't book it in advance, pickup a Vegas tourist magazine when you get to town, every one of them has coupons for helicopter flights.

Steak well doner knows nothing about food cause they order steak well done obv

Michelin quality referring to the Michelin travel guide which only offers stars to the finest restaurants in Europe and a couple of US cities

Not sure if I missed a joke here

Tried this and booked a room at the Monte Carlo, the link they provided for the show reservations didn't show any KA tickets available.
Seems like it was too good to be true, it probably only works with the cheaper shows...

I emailed them about this but they didn't provide an address other than memberservices@mgmresorts.com
I'm not able to call them directly and it doesn't seem there is a contact form or customer service e-mail address for questions like this.

Anyone know how to cancel a reservation at the Monte Carlo without calling?

At work, time difference, $1,50 a minute international calls, etc. I could call of course, but prefer emailing. If there's no alternative I'll call later today.

Note that MGM Resorts website(s) only loosely reflect the current reality of their business operations.

What do you mean with the current reality?

BTW I booked Blue Man Group as part of the hotel room deal and will buy tickets for KA through their website.

Saw that graphic a bit ago. I think watching the lake disappear may be even more interesting that the urban sprawl.

I'm staying near the Palms, and need a good, close gym nearby that I can get a month, month and a half membership at. I've done some searches but without seeing the clubs or working out there it's tough to tell which might be the best. Being open 24h is a plus.

Just wanted to bump this for any more thoughts. So far, we're considering Battista's, Firefly, and a more casual steakhouse (e.g., Vic & Anthony's @ GN or the Steakhouse atop Binions or Lawry's).

Not sure how to evaluate those steakhouses vs each other or vs any of the others we're not even considering yet since I haven't eaten at any of them, so comments on that, and on Firefly and Battista's as venues for group dining would be most welcome.

Thanks again guys!

The wedding is pretty simple, but I could use some suggestions of places you guys have personal experience with (or have heard folks rave about) for:

- wedding cake

- photographer

- good, cheap, a la carte flowers (besides the bouquet, we want flowers for the suite we're getting for the group)

- small bus / large shuttle service

Yelp has given me some ideas, but this community hasn't done wrong by me in the past.

Thanks again.

Cross Firefly off the list, almost 200 people got food poisoning there recently at their location on Paradise.

Last I checked Firefly was still closed due to a big salmonella outbreak.

I wouldn't do Lawry's, since they have the most limited menu of any place. It isn't steak, it's prime rib, and if you don't want that you're getting whatever the fish dish is.

I haven't been to Battista's but every thing said on this site about the place has been negative, often extremely so.

As far as steakhouses go, they're kind of all the same. I'd choose based on how well they can accommodate a party your size. Most will have large private rooms that can fit 40 people.

Did you consider a restaurant like Mon Ami Gabi, or one of comparable class?

Re: Firefly. I assumed this would be a good time to go since they'll be on their best behavior. But I don't want my guests googling it I guess.

Re: mon ami gabi. Holy **** how have I never been there? Looks awesome and great for our group. Plus fountain views in private dining. Hard to beat. What "comparable class" others were you thinking?

Gotta give a big +1 to mon ami gabi, imo excellent food, amazing view (maybe not for big group setting but still), and very reasonable price points
