Don't stop. I know your friends and family appreciate them. Cool about your son. I'm pretty sure I've played with him before.
Ha!! There is white hair EVERYWHERE at WinStar!!! You should watch the detailed hand analysis I do with my son, Billy...at least there is FUTURE in those vids! Ha!!

Seat 5. Nick Petrangelo – 600,000 (24 BB)
Seat 6. Jason Koon – 1,185,000 (47 BB)

Payouts

1. $5m
2. $3m
3. $2.1m
4. $1.6m
5. $1.2m
6. $900,000

Maybe I am really getting old, but I don't know who the "real person" is. I played with a number of people who referred to my vlog or being on YouTube, so it could be any of them I guess. Ha! Still laughing at the comment though!

Hey man, familiarize yourself with the facts of the situation before you attempt to formulate an opinion on what occurred.

Pretty standard.
Hmmm cannot find that version of the story - do you have a source? would like to read

5/T can be a tough nut to crack. It's often a lion's den of young grinders whose sole purpose in life is to stack older more affluent part time players. With that being said, you definitely took the right approach to the game from what I could tell. I'll introduce myself the next time we play.

FWIW, I have no clue who Registered 2018 is..which would make sense since I was absent these forums from December of 2017 until just recently.

That's the truth. I'm gonna do a 4 day grind next week.

I start early so I'm preparing for the coffee, white hair, seat cushions, and old spice. I will be with the super nits at 1/2. We don't even consider playing 1/3. We do like to complain about the 1/3 players while they are lagging up our tables waiting for their seats, though.

When they leave we can comfortably limp JJ utg. I love winstar.

The facts are: 2 people sit at a table and don't order anything. Doesn't matter what they look like they can't stay. It applies to everyone. No purchase no service! Glad I don't suffer from all the sick guilt and brainwashing you obviously suffer from.

I love Daniel but I'm rooting for the field right now. It's been a great tourney to watch on pokergo. I think i'll have to pay another 10 bucks next month too for the series.

He just vlogged at WPT 5 days ago; in the intro he alludes to the upcoming WSOP and then at 9:40 into the vid he specifically says that he will be "getting these vlogs ready for the WSOP"

trooper playing ok since he was backed...cant prove he was but someone who buys in with $100 or $200 on a daily basis doesn't take 3k and start buying into 2hundo sng

this seems weird, because due to the blind structures, most $1-3 games are far tighter than $1-2 games. why? because the small blind folds much more often in $1-3 than $1-2 where hes halfway in already. now if the blinds were $2-3 this would create better action. same way with $2-5 vs $3-5 NL. all rooms should quit offering $2-5 and switch it to $3-5.

I'm no expert but I've been told the 1/3 games are more aggro and "better" because the casino pushes recs to them and the nits wait for 1/2. Also, the max buy in being 200 and 300 for 1/2 and 1/3.

theres not too many casinos which limit the max buyin to 200 in 1-2 though i know of some.

Trooper putting up the vlogs early now.

So the questions are:
How can a break even 1/2nl player be doing so well in these tourneys?
Are they that soft?
Short term variance that will catch up?
Is he being staked?

He seems so confident that he will be playing a ton of these over the next 1.5 months, so I would think he is being staked and gets half. As he would have to have a decent roll to do this alone unless he is banking on catching fire early.

The Trooper up $2k in TWO DAYS. That's called skill my friends, variance can't account for such big wins.
