I’ve said for awhile his game is better for tournaments. That and he’s obv running hot.

If he’d include some HH’s and more shots of the WSOP, these vlogs would be really good. I like the upbeat version of trooper, it’s what initially made me subscribe to his channel

Plus he is negotiating good deals. He has made at least two very profitable chips already and that has added to his profit.

Would he really need to be backed for a such a small roll as $3k?

It seems like most people in here think Troop is always on the verge of going busto. I've kinda doubted that but since he actually counted out the cash for the camera it really looks like he picked it up from someone.

Especially since I now know that he doesn't have a safe in that closet. Although, excluding fire, toilet paper would be a decent hiding place.

Troop's TP game is on point. Had a really intelligent old man tell me he had thousands of rolls in his attic. He bought them at like $.01 per roll. Also worked as insulation.

The things he does that make him a ~bad cash game player can make him a good tournament player (see: boski).

Thread is going to get very awkward if Trooper has the best summer out of all the vloggers.

Umm, I will take Daniel vs Trooper, how much? lol

I won't even count the 3 mil he won yesterday.

Trooper found his niche. He's CRUSHING it. His style of play works good in SNG's.

How does the money look like he picked it up from someone?

How can Trooper only have a bankroll of $4,500 after living in vegas for YEARS? I haven't watched his vlogs in a good 6 months, yet hes still playing short in the smallest games in Vegas. Absolutely unreal.

I would assume he would never need $3k in any one day. He goes by the ATM in some of his vlogs and I would assume he keeps most of his money in the bank. He never has been that specific about his BR.

Clearly all assumptions on my part. Based on my history of assumptions there is really, really good chance I'm wrong.

FWIW, I think Troop is likely to have a $20-$30k combined bank/life roll. Another assumption.

Because of his hat sales and YouTube money. That is what keeps him going.

No way, unless its from some Inheritance we don't know about.

Winner take all.

95% of the time there is some kind of heads-up or three-handed deal.

Last longers are super common eith as a whole/most of the table, and sometimes heads-up last longers too.

Maybe so.

I always thought the hat sales didn't really tell the full story, though. Seems like getting a hat directly from Troop would be real cool to super fans. That being said, I figure lots of people buy the shirts online. I wear hats, but he hasn't made anything I would buy. Mostly because I don't like logos on my hats, but also because they aren't the style I would wear.

A few of the shirts are pretty cool to me, though. Haven't bought any because I haven't seen them show up in the thrift stores where I do my shopping.

If a player makes a decision on a hand because it is 2/5 versus 3/5, then they shouldn't be playing! THAT would truly be nitting it up!

Are they that soft?
Short term variance that will catch up?
Is he being staked?

He seems so confident that he will be playing a ton of these over the next 1.5 months, so I would think he is being staked and gets half. As he would have to have a decent roll to do this alone unless he is banking on catching fire early.
I'd guess they're pretty soft, and harder to make mistakes when you have <20bb.

Said before, I think Trooper probably has more money than most people think, given he doesn't spend money on the same stuff most of us do.

That said, he might well be being staked. Not something I've given too much thought.

Good start for him, and hopefully it continues through the summer. Be interesting to see what he does post WSOP, if things continue to go well until then.

It's still early. There will be some "specialists" that will be arriving in the coming days and weeks. I'm rooting for him to send them home broke. I'm also hoping for another Trooper Across America tour when the WSOP is over.

Seeing your location makes me want a beer. Haven't had a carb in 3 weeks. No one gets carbs at my house. Except the chickens. They get all the carbs they f'ing want.

I unsubscribed from Trooper about a month ago when it changed into a skateboard vlog, but just watched his most recent WSOP Satty vlog, after reading about it in this thread.

It was actually enjoyable, and I resubscribed to see how he does in the WSOP.

Also, Brad's most recent vlog needs more love. 1,200+ likes with only 7 dislikes, can't be wrong.

His hand reviews are the best in the business..even better than Neeme, Boski, and Jaman..

Of course, it will undoubtedly get tougher after this weekend, when the grinders start to roll into town.

I hope he does well, as I hope all the vloggers do well this summer. Another one of those would be good. Last one was very enjoyable, and just one of many reasons I like Andrew's vlog the best, he is always travelling.

It will be my location in a couple weeks, and I'll be plotted up at the head of the bar most evenings, until I move to the Cosmo.

Some effort to have no carbs for that long, I could probably manage 3 hours

Why not 5/5?

Even if a 1/3 game is tighter than a 1/2, it is not far tighter. The 1/3 game will probably have deeper stacks relative to the blinds. In a room which has both 1/2 and 1/3 running (and there are some), I am fairly certain that the 1/3 game will tend to have more action just because of which players choose to play one but not the other.

Was just at Westgate using some food comps and saw 24 on the list already for Trooper game. I guess WSOP people in town, probably be like 4 tables at some point. Trooper will clean up on rake tonight, unless he loses that much.

Don’t listen to TBC he’s generally wrong about most things but also is out of head (as are most of his teeth)

Games hosts typically get paid per head or per hour or a % of the rake.

We don't know what kind of deal Trooper has (nor Brad/Andrew).
