If you’re just wanting Hyatt to match your MGM status to theirs I recommend DMing them on twitter. That’s what I did and after a few reminders it finally went through.

Can I get free show tickets from either Caesars or MGM or maybe High Roller tickets from Caesars?
Any other tips?

No free show tickets from Caesars anymore, but if you go swipe your Diamond Elite card at a kiosk in a Caesars property, there should be a offer for 2 free High Roller tickets.

You can match back and forth between the two programs indefinitely. But you need to be either Hyatt Explorist or MGM Gold to begin with. One option is to hit up a Caesar's property and earn Diamond Plus legitimately during 10x tier credit multiplier days. There's also a way to tier match chain from Caesar's Diamond to MGM gold by hitting a couple of casinos in either Atlantic City or San Diego.

No Vegas MGM benefits that I know of but you need to rebook at a different CZR property. I haven't stayed at all of them but I think the general consensus is:

Caesars Palace
Cromwell, Paris, PH
Linq
Flamingo, Harrahs, Horseshoe
Rio

MGM is probably:

Aria
Bellagio, Mandalay, Delano
MGM Grand
Park MGM, NYNY
Luxor, Excalibur

Loose rankings of course, just don't stay at Rio.

Thank you. I went with those properties for 2 reasons:
1) They were both comped (actually couldn't get a comp anywhere besides Rio from Total Rewards for whatever reason, and I needed a Total Rewards property stay to get the $600 yearly travel credit)
2) Anyhow the plan is to stay in Rio for the first 2 days and just drink/tan by the pool and then for the last 3 days when we stay at Park MGM, we actually hit the strip and all

Ofc the casino/amenities at Rio are trash, but the hotel rooms themselves are totally fine in my experience.

And the staff there at the cage in Rio is quick at facilitating turning your airfare credit into free play (it’s usually a ghost town in there, there’s nothing for them to do besides help YOU lol).

Caesar’s Hotel Rankings IMO:

1. Caesar’s Palace

2. Cromwell

3. Horseshoe

4. Harrah’s

5. Linq/Flamingo/Paris/PH

6. Rio, only because of the inconvenient location. The rooms themselves are fine, and often times there will be comped upgrades available in my experience.

I do 100% agree with Konbanwa’s MGM rankings.

1. All MGM properties except Luxor/Excalibur

2. Caesar’s Palace/Paris/PH

3. Luxor/Excalibur

4. Cromwell/Horseshoe

5. Linq/Flamingo/Harrah’s

6. Rio

Obviously this is personal preference, but I don't see any way that Luxor/Excalibur are above the Cromwell or Flamingo/Harrah's. I'm probably lower on Horseshoe than most, but it's still above #3 as well. Just don't stay at Luxor/Excalibur unless you have a cheap reason to do so.

I hate the flamingo and no way it is a tier below Excal/Luxor.

Excal/Luxor would be in the same tier as Rio for me. Back when Rio had a Diamond lounge + good VP it would clearly be above. No way in hell Cromwell/Horseshoe/Harrahs/Linq/Flamingo is below them based on location alone.

My ranking of MGM/Caesar's Properties I've stayed at (weighted mostly on room quality & location):
1.) Cosmo
2.) Aria
3.) Bellagio
4.) Caesars Palace
5.) MGM Signature
6.) Delano
7.) Park MGM
8.) Horseshoe
9.) Planet Hollywood
10.) Paris
11.) NYNY
12.) Harrahs
13.) Flamingo
14.) Rio

Never stayed at:
MGM Grand (i.e. not Signature)
Mandalay (i.e. not Delano)
Excalibur
Luxor
Cromwell
Linq (stayed here during IP days and it would be waaay at the bottom)

I was thinking more about the Diamond in a Day challenge and then if you do it on a 5x day, you only need to earn 2500 tier credit (before bonus credits).

What does earning 2500 tier credits in a single day look like? I’ve never gotten close to that in one day.

If playing video poker, what limits/credits/type of game/etc is best for achieving this?

It could look like you treating me to an expensive steak dinner. During which I’ll explain how to best get the the other 1500-2000 more tier credits that you’ll need that day

Not counting the 5X promo, 2,500 Tier Credits in a day gets you a 5K bonus from Caesar’s. So 7,500 once it’s applied.

During 5X promo, if you earn 2,500 you’ll get 12,500 PLUS the daily 5K award so 17,500.

They usually cap the amount (20K or 25K), you can earn during one of the promos.

Definitely want to arrange trips (as able), around 3X, 5X Tier Credit promos. Makes things very easy. Prior to April 5X I was about 3,000 TCs. Post trip, with daily bonuses and 5X applied, now at 31,000

Has anyone else ever gotten “soft” banned from Caesar’s rewards? I can still earn tier credits and earn and redeem reward credits, but I can’t book rooms through the app and I no longer receive promo offers in the app.

The lady at the desk said my offers are being “suppressed” and it’s probably because I’m “just a poker player” with no other gambling, and “overused” the free rooms offered by the app. She claimed she’d email someone and let me know, but it’s been 2 weeks.

So has anyone had this and successfully get it reversed?

Yea never had one bad experience. Even before they moved the drinks from 20 to 25 dollars of value and I was ordering $22 old fashioneds and they needed to adjust everyone has been super nice about it. Just make sure to tip like you were paying for the drink if not a few bucks more.

Just had this happen too, when i pull up the rooms it just won't let me book anything saying there's no rooms that match my room settings or some BS. I emailed them and they pretty much told me the same thing as you that i don't play enough and have been using the rooms too much. Something tells me they have no intention of reversing it, welp it was a good run i guess lol. If they do change anything ill post it in here but i highly doubt it based on the emails from Rewards customer service.

The side benefit of DIAD with vp is you put a lot of coin-in into a machine. It makes them think you are a gambler.

You have to play dollar units at least. Some machines let you play only one hand at a time. I had a favorite/lucky machine that was only 1 hand at a time. It takes maybe 9 or 10 hours of play, which is rough if your lucky machine is taken first thing in the morning and you have to wait till the person leaves it. Even when I primarily played that one machine, I also spent some time on multi-hand machines.

Caesars' gaming "day" used to be from 6 a.m. to the following 6 a.m. You'll want to verify that.

I did DIAD during the 5x promo in April. I played dollar units, mostly 3 hands at a time, and pressed it to 5 and even 10 hands when I was running hot. It took maybe 3 or 4 hours total. Be prepared to lose 4 figures. If Diamond isn't worth 4 figures to you, set a stop loss at what you're willing to lose.

Keep close watch on your tc on the machine tally. Unless you're winning you want to stop as soon as you have 2500 tc. After all, vp is a negative return game.

I'm not sure where to put this as it happened in AC, but it might be a Caesars issue, so this seemed like the best place.

The last two times that I stayed at Caesars in AC they seemingly automatically added a high speed internet fee. Not only did we not opt-in for that, but their WiFi was down for the better part of Saturday.

Has anyone had this issue in Vegas or anywhere else? Please don't tell me they are charging $13+ on top of resort fees (which I don't currently pay) and hope that no one notices.

I still have like 50 nights of rooms books in Vegas basically free so caeears can smd but I know 2 People that the calendar won't let them book anything but on the phone they have comps.

Occasionally I've been charged (with diamond) and they take it off at the front desk

They took it off with no questions, but it's a pain to go to the front desk and have to ask. If it's not normal, then that's fine, but twice in a row makes me think it's intentional.

It’s happened to me in Vegas around ten times over the past 1.5yrs, but I always just call down to the front desk and they take it off, no questions asked.

Thanks. Not sure if I'm switching over to MGM or not, but it's definitely something to keep an eye on. If you are paying resort fees (again, I'm not), then paying roughly $55 a night is brutal.

There are 2 levels of internet speed. The "slow" is standard and comes free with Diamond. The "fast" is higher speed (I don't know how fast) and they charge extra for it.

Yes. This was an option when we signed in, but we didn't select it. We also weren't given the option on the subsequent days (probably because there was no wifi at all).

I know it's only two trips, but it seems like they automatically charged it.... which was my concern.
