I don't mind unofficial perks like this. Any time I get more than what was promised is good as far as I'm concerned.

TBF this is an issue with casinos in general; pretty much anywhere I go I can ask 3 casino employees the same question about a policy, promotion, etc. and get 3 different answers.

Thanks for the info. I ended up dropping my bag off at the bell desk so I wouldn't have to leave before the gym closed. It took less than a minute to drop off/pick up in the Diamond line and the only cost was the tip.

Degen Alert - CET is now allowing you to link your checking account directly to your casino credit line. Your rent money can disappear even faster!

Pig4Bill I think you wanted to know about the true costs of the 'free cruise'.

Just booked it today. 2 People Bahamas

Taxes / Port fees 172.50 ea
Air (I'm in CA and going out of Miami) 99 ea
Transfer (airport to port) 32 ea.

So that's $607 plus whatever excursions we do. But honestly, try to book flight from LA to Miami roundtrip and you're probably looking at about that much.

Why would you want to go to the Bahamas now? or even the near future. There isn't much left.

It has been a long time since I have been to Bahamas on casino junket out of Florida. I always went to Freeport. Apparently Atlantis Resort area didn't get hit by the hurricane. I remembered Bahamas as being small overall and figured hurricane had major destruction in most areas of it.

Only 1/5 stops have been damaged by the hurricane and they're adjusting the itinerary. It won't be a factor. Not going for a few months. Hurricane season will be over by then.

Thanks. I was only mildly curious. This is the one you get free for staying at the Rio at the end of August?

That flight cost is crazy. It costs more to fly from Phoenix to Vegas.

Yep. And remarkably with all of the WSOP I've been to I hadn't ever stayed at Rio. Wasn't bad at all, especially for being free.

Yes. I will say that you only get about 15 cruise options for free and some pretty narrow sailing windows. But, you can trade that in for $550 cruise credit for another non-hawaiian cruise.

It's definitely not zero-cost, but free 4 day room at Rio + $550 cruise credit is not bad at all. But, yes, the real benefit is being able to book flight through NCL. 99 round trip from LA - Miami is very very good. The cheapest I could find on my own was $304 flying crazy hours with long layover. In the $450 for a better flight. That's per person. So, this is at least $400 savings on flights, potentially more if we get a not-terrible flight.

Cruise also comes with 2 free perks (I chose $50 excursion credit at each port and free wifi. For most people, the open bar package is probably more valuable than wifi, but 1) I don't drink much and 2) they will auto include a $99 gratuity on alcohol, so that was a hard pass for me).

Finally, I will say the people at NCL were really good / helpful.

Yes the free booze package actually costs $18-20/day due to the auto-gratuity. That's still worth it for most people but certainly not everyone.

So you took advantage of the free/reduced air fare offer? I've never used it and am curious what that's like. How flexible are the flight options from your city? Do you get to choose airlines, times, seats, etc?

I did. They have different rates depending on the flight. Into Miami I saw some that were free, some that were 49 and some that were 99 (roundtrip). The LA area was 99. I have about 4 airports near me and I was able to choose the best one and that was about it. You fly with a major airline (like Delta / United ... not Frontier or something) but you don't choose and you don't choose the seats. If you want to come in a couple days early or stay a couple days late they'll try to charge you a $25 fee for it. But, for me, I don't really care. The price was great and I'm not some baller who is always trying to fly first class or anything. As long as it gets me there and back then it works for me.

You don't have to pay the transfer fee ($32) but Miami airport isn't all that close to the port, so I figured Uber/Lyft wouldn't be that much cheaper and this way it is guaranteed and they pick you up right from baggage. I suspect it's about 15% over market value.

Re: the 5x Tier Credit bonus for Caesars hotel stays:

Does anyone here know how long it takes for the bonus to post? The Caesars website says that regular tier credits post 10 business days after hotel checkout, but I don't think that's true for this bonus.

Earlier this year, it seemed like it took several weeks, and I know that last year my 1000 pts/night bonus from November didn't post until late January. I'm trying to hit my target this fall before Dec 31, and curious whether late Nov/early Dec stays will get credited.

I’ve had my last few 5X TC posted to my account exactly 7 days after checkout. My most recent stay seems delayed, but it has only been 8 days.

Update on Diamond free drink whoring - I was looking for a place to scam free beers before going to da strip club, and the drink service at the Mirage was mediocre. Decided to try Flamingo, and at one bar was told Diamonds got free drinks at no bars, only 7 Stars. Then I tried a different bar and that bartender said first drink was free, any others I would have to pay for. I was so disappoint.

Luckily the poker room drink service was excellent.

Does anyone know if we can use CET comps at the new Chick-fil-A when it opens later this year at Planet Hollywood? That would be awesome. They work at Earl so why not Chick-fil-A.

Date it's supposed to open? Or is it already, I haven't been to that area in awhile.

Just saw email. If you register for it, October will earn 2x tier credits on play and stay (not on daily bonuses). Good time to go hit diamond for next year if you need it.

Does anyone have a list of where in Vegas I can use my rewards credits at a 1:1 ratio?

I know in AC I was able to use them at Dunkin Donuts, buffet, etc.

Most things that aren't Casino free play or gift cards (2:1). Room bills, comp tickets from rewards desk, and most outlets on this list (not ones that have 2 or 3 asterisks by their name):

Go an email today stating "Important System Update About Your Tier Status Expiration Date" which had a link to the following page:
https://www.caesars.com/myrewards/pr...er-renewal-faq

Which upon reading just seems that if you have reached 15k already this year that they update your expiration date to 1/31/2021 now instead of waiting until 1/2020 to update it. It seems like nothing is changing as far as length of time to earn or how long your status runs. Anyone have any thoughts on why they are updating expiration dates now? The page starts by saying, "Moving forward, the expiration date reflected in your account will be the actual date your Tier Status is due to expire". Which is the same date it always expired.....

Who knows? New ownership. Maybe they want to change stuff just to change it.

I hate the new website. Half the crap doesn't work on my browser, and the stuff that does work takes more steps than it used to. Yeah the website was crappy before. The new one is pure excrement.
