Tiers reset at the end of January but points reset on January 1st. Last year's mistake was booking my Tahoe trip with two days before New Years and two days after New Years, when I hadn't originally been planning to put all the play into two days only.

Seven Stars gets five of them. It used to be one $500 dining credit but a couple years ago they changed it to 5 $100 dining credits.

Also have this question as a new Wyndham card earner to Diamond match last year. Do I need to request a match again this year?

Must manually request a match every year. Effectively takes most of February off the table, as the match can take a few weeks.

Has CET changed their policy on tier expiration? As I recall it used to be regardless when you earned a tier you could right away get a card for that tier but the expiration date on the card would be Jan 31 of the next year.

I recently made Diamond plus in early Dec. this is the same level I achieved last year. So I had a Diamond plus card which expired in Jan ‘23. Had to get a new card and was expecting the same expiration but that new card issued in mid Dec has a 2024 expiration. Is this new or is my memory incorrect?

Interesting. Must be misremembering. I do know one time I had issue getting free valet at NOLA in Jan/Feb because my card had expired even though I had re-earned Diamond. In fact that was a reason we were there. Simple fix was just dropped wife off for her to renew while I circled then used her new issued card. Certainly possible we both had old cards issued before we had re-earned the status.

Will say this practice is definitely not universal for all casino loyalty programs.

I don't think I've ever once been carded for free valet.

You must not go to NOLA. They literally do it every time. They even have different color tickets. Diamond and higher is free and gets a green ticket. Lower gets a white ticket and pays.

Note currently, during the remodel/rebrand, only Diamond and higher have any access to valet.

NOLA even does the check for the hotel valet. Even hotel guest parking is only free for Diamond or higher

I will have diamond status through a Wyndham business card in a couple weeks. For the business card, it says I’ll have Diamond status for as long as I have the card. Will I still need to renew it every year through Caesar’s? Or does it automatically rollover sort of thing?

Also, how good are diamond status lines? Someone pointed out that so many people have diamond status now thanks to Founders Card, the lines are only a little faster. Does that seem to be everyone else’s experience?

Usually noticeably better and never worse (except in a place like Tunica where Seven Stars and everyone else apparently have priority over Diamond).

Diamond status certainly has been watered down a great deal in recent years.

As for the line benefits... it depends on the line. In most cases, it's faster, but there are times when it is decidedly not, particularly if the diamond line has fewer agents servicing it. And I can attest the reduction in staff, and general lack of training, has made ALL lines significantly slower than they used to be.

Case in point... the higher ups decided that a Caesars Reward desk was no longer necessary at Planet Hollywood in Vegas. They got to save the hundreds of dollars a day it cost them in salaries. They further decided that the one and only cage on the casino floor could handle Caesars Rewards requests/issues. Last time I was in Vegas, I spent about 15 minutes in a 2-person line at the cage because it took a long time for the cashier to figure out some complicated Rewards issue for a customer. Meanwhile the "Gold" line, which was quite long was being processed by someone who was apparently new, and it processed about 10 customers while I waited. So, status doesn't always pay off.

Can use the founders club a second time to renew the platinum status offer at Caesars?

Also are resorts fees charged if you book a room now but lose your status before you check in?

If it works like just continually earning diamond through play, it won't expire BUT the date on your card will.

So if the number is used in a computer system, it should know that your diamond status is current. But if it is a person looking at your card, then they won't know you status is current unless you get a new card each year.

The most likely place for this to be an issue (for me) is at the valet when diamond or better gets free valet but lower cards pay (or don't even have valet access.) I don't know everywhere that does this but I do know that valet at NOLA always checks cards and will at least sometimes spot an out of date card.

I did one time get a diamond card with no expiration date. Was nice while it lasted but then they changed card appearance (or something) and that card "expired" when it was obviously not a current card.

So you might need to get a card re-issued each year (probably) but the benefits would be continuous. But this does suppose that it acts as if you earn the level each year for the next year.
