And I would be happy to give a quick rundown on B%M tips and etiquette if you want to have me on for the first time ever. I have logged thousands of live hours in the past 6 years.

First rule of etiquette for transition from online to live:
1. Don't play in your underwear only.

Rule number 2: Leave your piss bottle at home.

Rule 3: When involved in a bad beat, don't start throwing things and punching walls

Two suggestions:

Have another show in the middle of the week that has some current news but mostly focuses on moving forward. What can we do to start the next poker boom? How can we rally the troops? Have the top (available) pros come on have a round table discussion or debate. You guys are a rally beacon in the poker world, and we need something more often right now.

Also a general idea of how to start the next poker boom. We have to tie live poker to the general American population. The connection is too distant right now. When poker players talk to each other at the poker table it sounds like another language. A potential new viewer probably just says, "Oh just another poker show." and changes the channel.

What we have to do is deceive the American public and slip something in their coffee.

Look what Rob Dyrdek does for skateboarding. He has such a dynamic personality and has such big ideas that he is able to put an esoteric activity in the American audience's heart without them even knowing it.

We have people like that in poker. Heavy hitters. People that other people would watch/listen to endlessly.

Just stick to a formula of 10% poker, and 90% other stuff that everybody wants to watch.

A good show is a good show, and a good idea is a good idea.

Howard Lederer

Jared Tendler, for sure. I just interviewed him re: his new book and he's awesome, as you know having had him on before. With his new work out though - and US online players going [pun]mental[/pun] it seems like good timing.

"A bird in a bird in a bird in a bird in a bird in a pig", lol.

I have no interest in Howard Lederer unless he eats a dbl cheeseburger live on the show.

There was a mention of Scarlet last week, and I assume that fell through.

She was excellent before I would definitely suggest her this week.

btw - former guest Bill Rini put an informative little piece out for those in the US considering playing elsewhere:

definitely a good read

As an extesion of the Black Friday fallout discussion, I would love to hear some opinion on the practicality/risks of switching to the smaller networks to replace PS/FTP, for example "Merge"

I havent read the over 100 pages of suggestions so I'm pretty sure my suggestions are mentioned before:

1. Jared Tendler (he publishes a new book and should be thankful to get a chance to talk about it...and also about the mental aspect of playing poker).
2. Rask88 or Jballer88....would love to have an interview with some of those mid stakes grinders that crush their limits
3. Phil Helmuth...I know you guys dont like him and honestly I dont either but somehow I think there might be a chance that he is a little different if he knows he is talking to a more knowledgable listener base...not really sure though....but still...like to hear him justify some of his actions/plays to some interviewers that are capable of asking the right questions.

I was shocked that you wrote in that thread that you don't have an opinion on the subject. Mike Johnson without an opinion on a subject. That has to be a first

Jose "Girah" Macedo. Currently crushing HUs tables, he is a very intelligent and outspoken guy, I'm sure he would be a great interview.

Sebok reminds me of the dude that got soooooooooooo stoked when he was asked out by a popular porn star (and her 'manager')

....they promised all sorts of shiny things

....he had no idea he'd end up drugged, robbed, beaten, stripped naked and duct-taped to a telephone-pole

...but he doesn't really blame them, he'll know better next time

...maybe

Hey Mike and Adam,

Can you please take a look at the following thread (if you haven't already) before talking with Steve next and find out from him how he justifies Stars' effectively screwing (my opinion of course) players on the value of FPPs?

Love the show by the way!!!

Andy
