Who knows, though, their marketing strategy appeared to go something like this:
1. Start a rumor of a new VIP program over a year ago.
2. Let the rumor spread over 2p2, gradually building up over the course of a year. People began speculating about the potential benefits and how it might rival Stars' VIP program. The rumors snowball, people hope for more and more.
3. At the height of the speculation, they unveil a new so-called "rewards program" that actually offers less rewards than the previous system.
4. Watch with surprise that people would actually be disappointed after the rewards system doesn't live up to the hype; quite the opposite, it actively harms the players who participate in the VIP program.
If they were dumb enough to think this would actually be a successful marketing strategy, perhaps they're just dumb enough to believe that an interview with you will rectify all the perceived problems with their VIP program.
