I know you guys don't like rap (bunner excluded) but I'm surprised this gem hasn't gotten love in the pokercast:

I hate rap, and I'm not much into the whole poker culture thing. So on a 1-10 scale, I can only give this . .

9.9

Absolutely awesome.

I love the Pokercast--I listen to it every week. It's far and away my favorite poker podcast. However, I fear this Stars no longer accepting e-checks (it's pretty much a new state every day) thing will either be ignored or seen through rose-colored Stars shades. I know there is always someone saying the online poker sky in the U.S. is falling, but this really seems like a big deal. Once fish can no longer deposit, it's all but over. I don't know how many more "workarounds" are out there. This is not good at all.

Hopefully I'm worried for nothing on this.

Once someone decides to represent UB/AP we don't usually have them on for obvious reasons.

I'm sure you can find some that have been on, but as a rule we like to avoid it if possible.

In light of the Full Tilt/PokerStars Feud how about inviting Howard Lederer on to talk about stuff.

and +1 for Prahlad (yeah I think he's a douche but I'd like to hear his reasoning..)

YES!

Can anybody tell me where it gets interesting/controversial? I read the first 150 posts and its all just childish rubbish so far.

All I can say about PAD this week is ...wow. I found it enjoyable, and Viffers annoyance was palpable. Laak was out of line, but it was still entertaining. I'm sure he's going to have some comments about it, any chance of Laak on the pokercast this week? At least it should be talked about. On side notes about the week, Howard leaving is pretty lame and Muellar really looked like the weakest player which is surprising since he's in the Aria game so often.

Given his past performance a repeat would be welcome surely? He's def one of the deeper thinkers in the game, plus he'll be able to talk about his bet with Ashton and his experiences of living with jungleman too.

I agree .... seems like much ado about nothing.

Someone has got to point out why this garners so many posts

Normally I would agree with this policy but I'd like to hear him talk about his massive change of heart on UB.

Tom Hall - met him in london, great guy, obv very connected

Kirk Morrison - liked this guy from the very first time i saw him on tv, like 5 years ago playing with scotty in a wsop main event. seems to go deep in every tournament he plays then disappears for 11 months.

Olivier Busquet (sp?) - came off great during this weeks PAD and will also be on the coming week. gave a shoutout to 2p2 on national tv.

Mori Eskandani - get some inside info on the PS/FT "war"

Team PS pro Johnny Lodden - online legend all the way back from the prima days, also a fellow norwegian.

isildur? durrrr?

FWIW, 'next week, Mer "PeachyMer" Brit will be a guest on the PokerNews Podcast'
02-14-2011 , 08:32 AM
I mean if you have Mer Brit on, there would be a hope amongst listeners that you manage to skillfully and gracefully attempt to ask her probing and incisive questions rather than setting her up to hit home-runs (i.e. slowpitch softball) for pokerstars and herself. This is a common term regarding interviews.

No one wants to do an interview to answer dumb questions and be grilled, but I'd hope if she agreed to do an interview you could ask about some of the controversies, and follow up her answers with somewhat challenging rebuttals rather than immed. moving on to the next topic.

I look forward to her being able to "clear" her name, and am quite intrigued about her as a player and the whole situation. Allowing her to answer in her typical manner, a la the pokernews podcast, will accomplish little and only fuel the unease surrounding her.

LOL. You realize she only has to answer questions she wishes to answer. She isn't on trial. If someone replied to a question we asked with 'I'd rather not answer that' it isn't any interviewers job to shine a bright light in her eyes, and start removing fingernails one at a time, just to please some MTT'er's that think she may or not be exactly who she claims she is.
