Congrats on the nice score MJ.

Just watched most of Stona's video--what did you have on the hand where you shipped on the river. It was 3 handed and flop was 10 high and river was J. Villian bet and you shoved (which surprised me). No showdown obv.

Was the guy sitting on your immediate right needling you? There was one line of chat where you said something like "I haven't put my money in bad once".

Again, congrats.

I`ll check the hand you are talking about. If it`s the one where the guy claims he had 2 pair, I shipped with 4th pair(air basically). Will check if that was the hand.

I was short for a while at the final table and the guy on the right doubled me up and commented `Meh, you should have been gone a long time ago`which is a comment someone normally makes if you have stayed alive through some big suckout, which wasn`t the case.

Cool, thanks. Hand I'm talking about is at 2min-3min in Stona's part 2 video. Not too many draws possible, so if he folded 2pr that is pretty bad imo, unless he put you on j10 or something.

Yeah, that was the hand. He asked me if I had 42(for a straight). It was a bad shove with such a dry board but I call BS on him having two pair. I think I had A5s

Congrats MJ. Awesome score.

Thanks to Stona for putting the videos up.

What was that old show that was referenced on the program, was it Outside the Felt, or something like that? Does anyone know where to find it online? I tried youtube but I don't even know if I remembered the title correctly.

Its called Beyond the Felt, all episodes are on YouTube and I can't believe that I've never heard of it before. Pokercast Trivia Question ... has it ever been mentioned before on the show?

Am I the only one that likes the Ship It song at the end? As for the DC ad, they must be rubbing their hands with the Hellmuth-like publicity. It cracks me up every time I hear it now.

No love for Casey Jarzabek winning WCOOP event #6? He's a pretty big name in the online MTT world and leads the card player OPOY race.

WCOOP #6 was won by our guest Jamie 'Xaston' Kaplan. As far as I can see Casey 'bigdogpckt5s' hasn't won anything at this years WCOOP.

After we were done, I clued in as well and couldn't believe that we didn't ask. They both live in Vegas I believe and ages are about right but Kaplan is quite a popular name.

Good show except the 1st half of the Liebert interview dragged with Mike asking dumb questions he would never ask a guy (seemed like Liebert was starting to get annoyed too before the subject changed).

example of dumb question that annoyed Kathy? About her back-story or about sponsorship?

i do think the "why are all these other female poker players sponsored and your not" (paraphrased) was abit tactless.

If you have read her twitter, she discusses the subject unsolicited. If the winningest male tournament poker player of all time didn't have a sponsorship deal I would have asked the exact same question.

The fact is with her resume she should be sponsored, but isn't and to try and find out if it's because the industry is snubbing her or she just isn't really trying seemed obvious, especially considering how many tournaments she plays in.
09-18-2010 , 11:30 AM
just saying that the way it came across to me was "because your not young and attractive"

i definitely agree that she should be sponsored but i felt that it was pretty obvious why she wasnt, it is implied.

anyway i thought she was actually a great interview and was much more interesting than i thought she would be!!
