i dont think most villains put you on a low pocket pair, 99 might just make it, but its close, so you rep almost 0 sets to me atleast mr
also, i assume you 4b AK and maybe even AQ, so you rep.. like nothing tbh, except exactly BDFD hands, people never give you credit for exactly ~1-2 hands tho..
i mean.. you have 0 sets (except possibly QQ) and he has a lot of 2pair hands/QQ/JT rarely, so he should be calling with a lot of the hands hes gotten to river with
maybe you need to think of more generic ranges for an "normal regular", instead of your exact ranges which you know in your head
i think you would probably have far more success at 200nl with your deeper thinking
and still about the 66 hand: its not worth to defend it because he raised 4x, giving us worse odds than in general
if he was a passive fish its fine though, but fit or fold all day vs that
if he was an aggrofish i would still fold 66, much rather have 88 or 99 just to do better vs all his suited middling hands
if reg i would still just fold as low as 66 and pick better spot if he made it 4x, no reason to overdefend
late positions battles doesnt give credit to big hands because we all know it is bluffable a lot, so wouldnt try to outplay other regs often in these positions with a crap hand like 66
Given the extremely sad state of affairs in this thread something needed to be done to correct it.
So I picked out my 5 favourite spews in thread. I think its time to select the current thread winner. A spew for which all future spews can be measured against.
These are my nominations, please help select the one true spew.
Hand 1. A vintage Chicago Joey Spew. After flatting a 4bet with 96s he flawlessly follows through on the flop and makes a A++ fantastic turn spew with no fold equity and no actual equity. A great showing!
Hand 2. It was difficult to pick favourite of my own work but there was one clear winner. Though most of my spews are just me drunkenly mashing buttons I was stone cold sober for this one which is why I hold it in such high regard.
Hand 3 - Tobe made nice contributions to the thread and this was my favourite of this work. A very nice float on turn but the river follow up is fantastic
River: ($137.08) 6 (2 players)
SB bets $112, Hero raises to $431.66 and is all-in, SB calls $121.63 and is all-in
Results: $604.34 pot ($1.50 rake)
Final Board: T 4 6 J 6
Hero showed 8 9 and lost (-$301.97 net)
SB showed J Q and won $602.84 ($300.87 net)
Hand 4. After misclicking pre most would just give up on the flop. And failing that most would give up when the flop raise doesn't work. But does Lifegrind give up? No he shows amazing heart and executes this spew to perfection.
Pre Flop: ($1.90) Hero is BB with 3 8
BTN/SB calls $0.50, Hero raises to $5, BTN/SB raises to $14, Hero calls $9
Flop: ($28.40) 5 5 Q (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN/SB bets $11, Hero raises to $44, BTN/SB raises to $77,
Hero raises to $240.33 all in, BTN/SB calls $143.88 all in
Turn: ($470.16) J (2 players - 2 are all in)
River: ($470.16) Q (2 players - 2 are all in)
Final Pot: $470.16
Hero shows 3 8 (two pair, Queens and Fives)
BTN/SB shows A A (two pair, Aces and Queens)
BTN/SB wins $469.66
(Rake: $0.50)
standard?
he then sat out and berated me for 20min.
Honorable mentions to Mayo and Xela. I was very close to selecting a few of your hands.
haha. although joeyjr wins in terms of greatest spewer overall, that chicago joey hand and liftgrind's are the best on that list, with ricepaw just behind. tobe's bluff is too good, unfortunately, sorry mate.
There was one that was pretty glorious a couple of pages ago. If I feel the motivation I will go and search for it. I remember at the time thinking it was best in thread.
