I was actually going to get a x-mas tree this year but decided not to and spend the money on family gifts instead. It's our first year with a decent amount of spending money and I kinda went a bit wild. FWIW I'm against getting a real xmas tree when there are plenty of trees out there that last longer and aren't hurting the enviroment. /End Earth protest lol.

Anyway not being Christian and not having kids has kinda made xmas just... meh for me. Feels like I'm the only one!

I'm not BAH humbug really! I just have trouble really "getting into it"
I'm generally a total environmentalist but somehow just can't do Christmas with an artificial tree. Blech! Guess I figure they grow them specifically for the purpose of lighting up our lives so might as well enjoy it.

Really nice that you were able to go all out for your family this year. Sounds cliche but IMO it really is more rewarding to give than to receive.

OMG, he's terrible! We have to keep the doors in the house closed or he'll pilage them. He ate one of his beds while I was washing the cover, is constantly getting into unguarded trash cans, ate one of my Christmas cards, my ex's work schedule, my daughter's contact lens solution bottle, and one of my pillow shams all within the past couple of weeks. He is a real PITB but we somehow and adore him.

Can't wait to see your new pix...

Of course, there are also a few dark horses still plugging away, with my personal tip (I am never wrong... well, sometimes). being young Canadian hotshot Andrew Alan Chen who currently boasts a credible 222,500 in chips.

Replantable xmas trees ftw?!

Anyway almost everyone in my family is having hard times this year except for us. So I figured it was my turn to give back . Though I didn't realize how much I'd be spending. My Mom has a huge family (grandma had 9 kids) and obv they all had kids. Thank goodness not all live here or I'd be broke! lol.

Not trying to be a smart ass but you do relize that those trees are planted solely for the porpose of cutting for xmas trees right? The point here is there are like millions planted each year that wouldnt be other wise and it takes them like 5+ years atleast to reach cutting size. As well allot of times the plantable ones don't seem to make it.
I see it as a benifit to the earth for them to buy cut trees at least out planet gets the fresh air until they are cut and then tree farms plant new ones any way.
On another note whats the word with the tourney any news from stars yet?

lol. Yeah whenever I run into a downswing and feel like I suck I like playing some 50nl HU. Even the regs there are so easy to run over and exploit so hard . Of course when they start sucking out (ie turn=2 there) then it just sends me closer to the edge.
