I joined the army before September 11th, on July 26 2001. So the army I joined, wasn't exactly the army I received. Of course that's always the risk when you sign up.

In some ways joining the army was one of the best thing I ever did, and in others it was one of the worst.

“We can completely deny the reports that Ray Bitar is no longer CEO. In fact that [rumour] really ruined his day yesterday. It doesn’t help anyone for sites to be reporting news that’s not true,” he said.

@Jade: Thanks for the insight. What you're saying makes a lot of sense. It's pretty sad though, and I feel for you guys and for those who are yet to be recruited.

BTW, anything you can share on the military's healthcare system? From my limited knowledge all I know is the military has separate healthcare from the rest of the american population? but that's about as far as my knowledge goes on the subject.

FWIW it might interest you to do a "ask me everything about being a spec ops vet" thread or sth. There's one about being an airline pilot and I gotta say it's pretty much the best thread on 2p2 for me. (yes, I'm easy to please)

I'm playing day 1D of the ME and had 30% reserved to swap. Due to FTP it seems like a lot of people I was going to swap with are no longer playing the ME so I have a bit more than I'd like. I've swapped 5% so far so 25% left if anyone I know is playing ME (and obv hasn't started yet) I'll likely swap if you're not a complete ****** or if you're not playing and would like to buy I'll sell at 1.3:1 MU. I think that's a fair number given that I have decent cash and tourney experience and sharkscope has me at a lifetime 784% roi in live events so obviously I should be charging 7.84:1 but I'm a nice guy! Also if I don't sell or swap any of it I'll just keep it myself not like I'm desperate or anything.

If it affects decisions even if I sell/swap the max I will have 45% of 70% of myself in the main which comes out to 31.5% and I'm pretty sure I'll still be playing my best in what is an effective $3150 buy-in tournament for me.

Also nothing is booked until I confirm it I reserve the right to give the action to whoever I want and likely I will be favoring swaps over purchases although I'm not entirely sure how many SSFR guys will be playing the main. Anyway pm/im me if interested.

cracks me up that police would take the time to orchestrate a raid on a home game that has less then 1K involved.

Jesus Christ. It probably cost them more in overtime for the officers than $1,000.

lol this guy near me used to run a casino out of an abandoned warehouse. he had 2 poker tables, and 2 black jack tables. I used to go there once or twice a month and one day (luckily i wasnt there) it got raided. Somehow the guy who ran it didn't seem to get in much trouble, and no jail time. But they confiscated about 10k and also found some weed/cocaine.

i mean it said there were 8 poker players there. so that's just like a little over $100 per player. talk about small time.

omar wouldn't even consider sticking up that game.
