I left 5K in my account too after taking out close to $15K after BF. This still hurts and I guess it's the risk we all took staying on FT after they couldn't pay out the Americans.

I left $3k in, was going to get 3000 medals by end of month to buy $600 bonus. That means next month I'd have about $1000 of bonus to clear (iron man mid year) and I would also hit 1M FTP's at the end of next month. I planned to cash out all money and buy 10x ipods to sell on fleabay. If this has happened a month from now I'd be fine

Hardly a major shock in these uncertain times. I do think FTP are desperate to continue doing business though (why wouldnt they be?), so I assume they are looking for some different place to set up shop as we speak. That would be a possibility, right?

Yeah I think so Ren, and one of the articles posted on the last page alluded to that in case things with this investigation went sour enough for FTP to have their license revoked.

gg guys. looks like i'm the dumbest around at the moment. slightly more than 20k in the account. another 2k 'on the way' but i'm not sure now if i'll be getting it or if the check will cash. where i'm from, 20k is probably slightly higher than the annual household income...

The best thing that could happen for us lot (2+2 and similar such site contributors) is that FT just says, "FU" and starts operating within 24h under another licensed area. If this happened quickly the majority of players - a lot of whom are recreational - would be none the wiser as to why the site was down for 24h and would accept the maintenance excuse. So far I can find no coverage in mainstream media (BBC in UK) to enlighten them.

This would allow us lot to get in and pull our money, points, etc out. The business may still survive thereafter, maybe not; I for one, would not take any chances. Essentially we need the site to come back up asap so that we can all desert the sinking ship.

The longer the site remains down the more damage is done. If a week passes with no FTP then we have basically all lost our money IMHO. This is because even if they open back up every body will bail out and that will sink the ship.

No matter which way you cut it, I think it is looking very unlikely that FTP will exist in 6 months time.

If there is any possibility at all for them to continue doing business they will do so. Potential future income >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> whatever cash they sit on right now.

No, I think they're going to try and get licensed elsewhere. Even in these bleak times, people were still playing so they were making some money.

ren, i think they will have loads of issues with deposit. so no new deposits = no new cash flow. whatever rake they generate from existing customer base is all 'virtual money' if indeed the funds have been mismanaged in the first place.....

best hope for us IMHO is that DOJ does some unfreezing

yea but if FT is really as badly managed as it seems, people who were still playing and generating rake do not mean much since the actual money is not there. the only way for them to raise money is thru deposits and i don't think that it's going to happen a ton even if they get a license elsewhere...

i hope you're right though. i'll be so lost on what to do during my free time. i guess my company is going to benefit most from this since i'm so used to sitting in front of the screen for 2 hours every night....

You are probably right. Also if they cant get up again quickly the traffic might take a hit they will never recover from. Obviously the situation is terrible for FTP and those with large amounts locked away (my sympathy heavily favours the latter). Though never say never.

do you have huge amount lock up ren? i would hope not since you were grinding NL100 and withdrawals in UK is pretty easy (easy as in many options).

i only have check as an option and it usually takes 2-3 weeks to arrive. my previous withdrawal which was around black friday bounced and I didn't want to withdraw until FT cleared that and deposit the money back into my account hence my current predicament.

It's ****ed though, even if they re-open tomorrow there will be a massive run on withdrawals and if they still can't pay US guys what hope do we have?

I feel so stupid, through everything I was FTP's biggest fan-boy and I was confident everything would work out. But now...

I'm not sure how many of you knew about my thread in PG&C "Fund 12 months around the world playing cards" but I'm basically ****ed now. $10k+ unlikely to be seen in ages (if at all) and no source of income. And I'm only 2 months in, don't know what to do now I don't want to deposit more $$ on a Euro site and all I've got is $500 on iPoker...
