You have a unique perspective on this issue, obv.

glad you're still with us.

they're actually saying they can charge the robber that lived with the murder of his robber buddy, instead of the homeowner who apparently shot him 2 or 3 times after he was already down.

You guys use you computers to play poker for thousands of dollars, yet still dont use firefox and no script.

The surviving robber can def be charged with murder under the felony murder rule. The player who got the gun and killed the dead robber can also be charged if he exceeded the permissible bounds of self defense. The OP in that thread said that the player "executed" the robber after he was no longer a threat. If that is the case, then he can and should be charged.

Either way, surviving robber is a lock to be charged with 1st degree murder.

its funny how in our country you have rights when you break the law. if you bust up into someones house with a gun they should be able to pull a "inglorious basterds hitler face" all over you. just sit there with a machine gun and blow your face to bits while they put 10 clips into you. but i guess thats not the way things work, if someone tries to kill you and you kill them instead you go to jail for life.

im not pretending to be a cowboy but everyone knows the first thing you do is get back on the horse. also if hes pulling her up odds or its safer that she doesnt get stomped than making a neck injury worse imo. im not saying the helmet deal wasnt bs or this guy was competent but women are pretty dramatic and youve only heard her side of the story

i've also heard stories of robbers who try to break into someones house and fall through the roof and break their legs and then sue the homeowner they were robbing for having faulty roofing that needed to be repaired.

one of the few good things about living in louisiana. if that happened here:

Cop: So, this guy robbed your game, and you shot him in the knee?
Not Murder: Yep
Cop: Then you shot him in the face. Twice?
Not Murder: Think one was technically in the side of the head, but yea, sounds right.
Cop: Thats murder if he was no longer a threat.
Not Murder: Uh, he robbed my game once, thought if I just shot him in knee he might do it again. Like in a wheelchair or somethin.
Cop: Not good enough
Not Murder: Ummm, he was in my home when I shot him in the face?
Cop: Good enough, have a nice night sir.

yes, thats what the no script addon is for. So you have control over what is allowed to run when you open a webpage.

Firefox definitely isn't bad; it was worse when it had memory leak issues but as far as I know those have been resolved. I prefer Chrome personally.

@Disco, I used to use Opera and loved it. The only issue is that due to how it isn't very well known there are some sites that don't support it (not enough to make it not worth using) so you'll need another browser as a backup anyway.

Going to go and get another gun and killing a wounded man in cold blood isn't self defense. It's murder.

Some consider shooting a downed man five times in the stomach to be beyond reasonable force.

I agree.

Yet, many of these same people consider bombing foreign countries and killing a million civilians to be reasonable force.

I find it hard to swallow that a man who was in imminent danger and protected himself should be subject to go to prison when others can 'preemptively' kill huge quantities of people and get a medal for it.
