Love being able to play in the middle of winter, 79 degrees today.

Played a short course, Starfire. 3 different 9's i think total it was 6200 yards par 34 on 1st 9 and 36 on other. Shot +2 on front and eagled the 18th to shoot -1 on back.

27 holes: 51-50-54

Started off with three 3-putts in a row. Driver was erratic most of the day. Still, considering it was a pretty bad round and I still almost broke 100, I guess it's not so bad. Only highlight was a 20-footer from the fringe for a birdie.

Played in big group at home track today. Buddy and I that are by far the best two players loose $27 combined (me 16) in a $1 wolf game. He shoots 67 to my 69. Next closest score is 74 in a fivesome lmao. Fckn wolves

First time id touched a club in a couple of weeks and it showed. Came over the top and hit everything left to right. But this time instead of trying to fix it on the course I just aimed left and clubbed up. Couldn't putt either I had four three putts including the first two holes. Kind of happy with my ****ty score considering how I was playing.

Got to play last Friday.

First time I've touched a club since early September. Had some rusty moments but managed to get two birdies and two triples and a double. Heh

Anyone here use scorecard application called golf shot? I have it for my iphone and its great for automatically calculating percentages, etc.

My birthday was a week and a half ago so I got some free rounds from some local courses normally out of my usual price range for a round but also had some decent rounds on my normal courses. C

played the champ with my grandpa recently and shot 87. can't remember how i did during the bear trap but i'm sure it consisted of plenty of bogeys.

pretty pumped tiger is going to play there this year! it'll be the first time i've seen him live during a tourney

95 for my first 18 today
107 for the second (thanks to an 11 and a 10 on two holes)

Guess I should've stopped after 18, huh? Had three or four 260-280 yd bombs with my driver, but also had a handful of huge slices or topped drives or snap hooks. So strange. Irons were pretty good for the most part, putting was good.

31 stableford Picked up after taking three shots to not get out of green side bunker on the 16th so no score.

I hit the ball weakly with a strong left to right flight but kept in in play for the most part. Although I wasn't happy with how I was hitting full shots I would have been able to get away with it if my short game hadn't been horrible. I left several pitches short of the green and even put one in a bunker that should never have come into play.

I went to the range!

And I've still got my swing!

Ball-striking was bad for me. Putting was best in a long time, by far. Made a couple adjustments with the putter and tried it out and loved the results. Usually I'm a horrifically bad putter.

Normally pretty good at getting out of any bunker in 1 stroke but was awful today for some reason. Came up just short on a par 3 where I chose the 9I over the 8I and hit the top of a bunker and rolled back down in. Sand was really soggy and I kept popping it up but couldn't clear the bunker. Hit this three times then picked up, raked, and moved on giving myself an 8 (2 solos were playing with me so didn't want to waste too much time). I have no idea how to hit out of the soggy sand... ?? I suppose close my body more, close the clubface and that's it? I should have tried that.

In general a bad round but my putting was very good and that was the worst part of my game so I'm happy about what the future brings.

I also hit the best shot of my life today on a par 3 late in the round and here's that tale:

par 3 15th. Hole says 137 but guy with GPS said 150 as the tees were back a bit. This hole usually kills me as I always seem to come up short. I figured for a 2-3 club wind in our face with about a 10 degree left-to-right action. Older guy hits first and rips it straight and keeps it below the wind but you can tell the wind just chews it up and he lands just short of the green. I get up assuming the hole is playing 170-180 which is between a tee'd 6I and 5I for me. Knowing I almost always still manage to come up short I opt for the stronger 5I and figure it will stay lower ball flight and won't kick off the elevated, well-tilted green anyway. The strong wind in my face is giving a slight left-to-right so I aim about 5 yards left of the pin and take a whack. Ball stays low and doesn't get chewed up by the wind, it looks like it's a great shot right off the tee. Two partners are chirping back there watching this sick ball flight and my ball hits the green which is tilted a bit left to right and kicks over toward the hole. It settles what looks like a couple feet left of the hole but I have no idea if it's pin high, short, or long but am super pleased any time I hit a green with a 5I anyway. Third guy hits pulls it way over to the left of the green and we're off. I get up there and the ball is about 2 inches north of pin-high, exactly 18 inches left of the pin. Holy ****. I assumed it wasn't going to be dead pin-high from the tee as I couldn't tell really. I figured I'd be left with a 10-footer for bird or so. Guy who pulled it way to the left told me to pull the flag and finish out my birdie so I do so and hit it center of cup for sickest and easiest birdie I've ever made. 18 inches from an ace with a 5 iron and a 2-3 club wind in my face. Made the rest of my round much better!!! This hole usually gives me fits, too. Was nice to make it my bitch for a change!

It's shots like these that keep a 29 handicapper coming back! What are you gonna do....

First round of the year on regular greens. Shot +5 (76). 2 doubles, 3 bogeys, 11 pars and 2 birdies.

Pretty pleased with my short game and most of my iron ball striking. Not too happy with the driver and the fact that I quit on my swing after 11 holes

First round of the year for me at Legacy in Las Vegas.

Drove fine. My approach shots were erratic. Short game surprisingly good. Putting atrocious. Missed one three-foot birdie and too many short par putts.

45+41 = 86.

Meh.

The Good : lipping out with a pitch on the second, getting up and down for par on the third and again on the seventh, a nine iron to six feet on the thirteenth, a nice chip when I had short sided myself on the fifteenth, getting a bit of draw on a seven wood to get near the green on the eighteenth, seven one putts.

The Bad: a weak slap with a hybrid on the first, smothering my drive hard left and into the ground on the fourth, weekly pulling a three wood into trouble on the eighth, taking four putts on the par three eleventh after hitting the green, Stubbing a chip on the twelfth, a week slice off the tee on the fourteenth, a three wood worm burner that ended up OK on the sixteenth, A recovery pitch that didn't make the fairway on the eighteenth.

The Mysterious: where the hell did my drive on the seventeenth go? we all saw it heading straight over the trees towards the bunker but it couldn't be found.

Man been puring the ball better than I had all last summer. Too bad the putting isn't there.

Shot 76 today (2nd round of year) with 3 3-putts and maybe 4-5 bird putts missed inside 20 ft. Feeling pretty good about the season!

i went mini golfing last night and shot a +3. the hole where you had to putt it into a volcano really cost me.

Played for the first time in about 4 months today....Shot 38 without really hitting any good shots (did hit 1 though from about 80 yards to a foot though for a tap in birdie). I went back to a conventional putter though from the belly putter since my belly putter was just extended and havent got the grip in yet for it and putted really well although my pace was a little off; my lines were so good.

No score. Walked 9. Mid 50s in March, **** yeah.

Played horribly, lots of lateral shots. Don't care. At least not much. If I'd kept score it probably would have been about 70.

Didn't drive the ball well, irons were just ok, but pitching/chipping was very good. Anytime I was around the green I was able to pitch it on. 3 3-putts on the front, but I think I can blame that on the fact that the greens were aerated not too long ago.

Started off very solid. +9 through the first eight holes, then tripled #9 after missing a two-footer (blaming that on the aeration, obviously). Played the first four of the back nine in +4, then had back-to-back 9s on two par-4s and put the pressure on to break 100. Bogey-bogey on 16 and 17, checked my scorecard and saw that I needed a bogey on #18 for 99. Drive looked really good but just brushed against some trees on the left side. 110 out, had to punch a 5-iron to keep it under the trees, missed the green short and left. Pitch shot rattled the pin and bounced out to one foot for a tap-in par and a 98.
