Got my new set of irons in today. Set of new A7 Adams irons. I've used the, I think first set of Adams Idea clubs for about the last 6-7 years. Figure it was time for an upgrade. Found a great deal for these (300$) brand new. No need for the newest kind. Can't wait till the weekend to go to the Range.

Only thing I don't like is that the hybrids have all yellow shafts kinda ugly. But ive seen worse.

Also 70 degrees in March for 3 days straight this weekend. Awesommmme

I think Saddam Hussein shot an 18 (18 holes) once and Fidel Castro shot a 26 (16 holes - left early ran out of cigars), so Kim Jong isn't the GOAT golfer by any stretch.

Getting reimbursed $600 a year to play golf sounds like the steal of a lifetime. Jeez.

Just got back from the range and I don't have a clue anymore. I don't know wtf happened but I just have no ****ing clue out there. Shot a 91 and a 90 last summer in my first year playing "seriously" and now I'm back to hitting balls fat and thin and driving it 220 instead of 270. Absolutely no ****ing clue. Can't even hit tee'd iron shots anymore. **** golf.

Golf clubs depreciate so much. For a set 3-pw in decent shape I'd be thrilled with $100

U can go to pgavalueguide or check tradein values on tgw/golfsmith.

It's pretty depressing if you haven't done it before.

That was the thing I hated most the short time I worked at golfsmith. People would want to trade in clubs and I'd give em the best deal I could and they still looked at me like I was ****ing them over

it seems weird though... Drivers pretty much definitely get outdated, but to me, irons are irons. It seems like they are "undervalued" by the trade in places. I guess it's pretty tough to sell a used set with worn ass grooves so they aren't going to pay a lot for them.

thanks man, knew 600 seemed insane.

Taylormade buying Adams is now official. Long time rumor finally came true.

played few holes today and almost every shot was pull
This is a problem I also had last season- closed clubhead at the top. When the club is parallel to the ground during backswing it's closed just a little bit.

Any drill, advice?

post one of your swings where you pull the ball pretty bad. It could be a bunch of things, most likely culprit of a pull is spinning out (failing to get to your left side or rotating left too hard and getting hung up on right foot).

Most people have an incredibly difficult time understanding that the re-seller has to make a profit. I don't quite get why this happens, but it's an interesting phenomenon in used sales.

Also, since you are haggling with them on the value of your trade-in, you need to realize that whoever buys your clubs could/will haggle as well. There has to be some meat on the bone. That's how a new set of irons you paid $1,000 for 18 months ago might only get you $200-$300 in trade-in value (or cash). The re-seller might price them at $600 and take any offer over $400 for them.

eh just realized that it's not only closed club face but also out-in path

that's why sometimes (when my club face is square) I hit slices

I've been fighting an over the top move too LFC. I've been working on taking it back slower, having a significant pause at the top (like a second) then keeping that trailing elbow tucked in. Also have been really tiring to focus on my target and not the ball when swinging.

thats easy to fix. get a 4x6 landscape timber put it just outside your ball if you dont go down the line you will hit the wood and it will hurt your hands.

miss the wood club is moving down the line

Got a round in Saturday IN Buffalo IN 70 degree weather on March 17... Maybe it is the end of the world. Can tell they rushed the course open. Not that it wasn't in great shape or anything just little things like garbage cans and ball washers were missing..

Overall I liked my round, opened up terrible but settled down and my irons feel comfortable for first time in my life... All I think is hit down on ball and follow through and it works like a charm somehow, like to the point I'm shocked as its repeated decent shot over and over and I can really feel my stock shot comin to form.. My putting was bad but expected as was some most touch short game shots but again expected... I 3 putt a bogey an 2 double bogeys badly all in a row at one point and my back tightening up around the 14 really crushed me there...

My driver is still the son of satan but I worked out some of the issues and hit some very nice ones that will hopefully be the norm.. Have the fest of 3 tune up mechanic lessons coming up Saturday before season open and hoping to work through those and really make a leap this year that's for sure

short session on the driving range and few things to consider about my pulls.
(my camera is broken so cannot make a vid right now)

I hit today either straights shots (sometimes small fades) or pulls. Almost never hooks, slices etc.
So my closed clubface is probably connected with out-in swing path.

What's the most common reason of that?
