backpackers go to p-town, there are some dinky hostels there for the smelly/hairy/adventerous types.

if you're looking for girls here to party, seduction is your most likely disco to meet them. a distant second is probably Tiger.

beach girls will be in Kata/Karon. these types are less likely to be travelling without a dude, although there are certainly groups of scandis here, and much harder to crack, tour groups of Koreans.

i don't know anyhthing about the places north of Patong.

About the non immigrant visa O that I can get in Hull or Perth. Is there an enter before date on this visa? I am planning on getting it in Hull and then I will be back in Thailand 4 weeks later. Is this a problem?

Anybody saying completely avoid and never go to KSR is being a huge nit. Being around a few white people is not going to kill you. There are semi-fun things to do over there and it is something I think everybody should see at least once.

That has always been the law.

According to the Phuket chief, nothing has changed.

I just want to confirm that this story will be featured in Issue 1 of Pattaya One which is a new publication here in Pattaya available in print and online from 1st October. This story was not published by Pattaya One News on pattayaone.net. The full story is exclusive to the paper.
From TV - and they are the only one spewing this BS. Sounds like a publicity stunt to launch their publication.

As someone who is currently overstayed more than six weeks, I am not at all worried about this. That said, I wont be going to the airport until it is confirmed that it's still business as usual.

I heard you can get as many visas as you want in stead of going for a certain amount of days and being denied entry for another certain amount of days is this true?

I'm going to need some dental work very soon. I know a lot of you guys have been to dentists here in BKK. Can you recommend something? Also I've been advised to go to a dentist in a BKK hospital as opposed to a straight dentist. Anyone done this?

Great dentist at Thonglor BTS

asavanant.com

Dental work is far, far cheaper in Thailand than it is in the US. IIRC fillings are 2,000 Baht at that dentist.

you have possibly misunderstood how the visa works.

the enter before date is one year from applying and every time you enter you will get 90 day stamp. you can enter unlimited times but you will get 90 days every time for a year. if you enter the last time one day before the "enter before" date the visa is good for 15months total without having to go get a new visa.

so no problems coming back 4 weeks later (i assume you thought you get a one year stamp on arrival with this but needed to enter soon after applying?)

also, the consulate in perth is closing 14th of october so hull will be the only (atleast that i know of) place where you can get this kind of visa without any special paperwork

remember to apply for multiple entries (multiple=unlimited)
