I could see why the working stiffs or professional poker players might go the online dating route, but you are already in the ideal setting to meet girls IRL, especially if you are more interested in a casual relationship.

I now it is hard to believe based on my online persona, but I admit I am pretty socially awkward IRL (probable case of mild undiagnosed aspbergers) and even I had no major problems finding females in my early 20s at college.

quick deadlifting question..

I use mixed grip - and this makes me almost 'favor' my left side when deadlifting. six days ago I did my top set and the next day i was sore as **** on my lower back left size (think I may have pinched a nerve/muscle spasm/pulled a muscle fml).

So two questions:

Is there any way to prevent 'favortism?' when using mixed grip.. my left side IS stronger, which really sucks. I'm going to drop the weight a bit and use otherside mixed grip to hopefully get my right side stronger, but this muscle pain is preventing me from deadlifting even 6 days later

other question is I've been foam rolling it, icing it, using a lacrosse ball on it.. anything else I should be doing to make recovery quicker/am I missing anything obvious?

My left hand is better when being the underhand too. I make a point to switch every set, but still do my max effort sets with left underhand.

Not sure if this matters, but I assume it does for balance.

I have never heard people that use mix grip complain that it causes any type of imbalance. More likely you are just imbalanced and it is not the grip per se.

Also, Rip suggests don't mix the grip until you have to, and i have never heard anyone disparage this advice. For most tiny bros this would actually mean not mix gripping at all. I don't change to mix grip until I am over 300 lbs, which means I am doing 2 sets max with mixed grip, and I have pretty normal sized hands. I think most bros start the mix grip WAY WAY WAY too early, like 135 pounds, mainly as a form of FPS or not knowing any better.
