Have Chanseys become more abundant for anyone else? I caught 2 in my neighborhood and one at work in just the last few days. Prior to that, I had only hatched one and caught one ever.

I've never seen 1 in the wild only hatched 1.

Saw my 4th Onix ever today. 0 caught.

Spawnings for me haven't changed for a few weeks.

Hatched back to back aerodactyls after having never had one. Inventory back to all 5km eggs too fml.

So are dittos any good? Worth sinking dust into?

No. If you see one in a gym, just fight it with a raticate or pigeotto or something that you haven't trashed yet. You'll win, and then trash the fighter. And fighting on your behalf, you should ~always have a type-advantaged mon over anything rather than wanting to forfeit that advantage to just go with a match. About the only thing I could imagine where it's good is if mew or mewtwo get released and you don't have one yet.

That said, I just found my first, hooray!

You don't get how ditto works. If you sink a lot of dust into ditto, it will appear as a high-CP whatever you fight it with. So if you attack a gym with a super high level ditto, with a pidgeotto, you'll now be fighting a super strong pidgeotto.

It's def cool to sink dust into as a unique, chansey like bottom defender. However, I'd only do it if you're like level 32+ and can get it to super high CP, for ditto. Then it will be a decent defender, always becoming a super high CP, or at least forcing people to waste a slot on a magikarp.

Hatched 3 of my 10km eggs. Magmar #4, Onix #5, but did get first Omanyte. Still have never hatched a pinsir, snorlax, or kabuto.

Just got myself my first "amazing" Ditto (93.3%, low CP though), I'm gonna definitely be maxing it up.

I guess I don't know the formula for how ditto stats and level translates to what it copies, but with dodging and the other advantages of attacking, it seems like you would need a pretty big advantage for a ditto to be a good defender.

I thought ditto's cp was (half of it's cp + half of the opponents cp), the one ditto I battled was a joke because it's original 300 cp was tiny compared to my 2k.

Didn't someone say mass snorlax and you figure there will be double xp or items or something at least. Once they release more gen 2 im going to quit though.

Today was a good Pokemon day. I originally didn't intend to go down to DC today - it's my only day off this week, and the forecast was for rain. However, last night when I got off work, I saw that the rain was supposed to be morning only, and I was going to sleep until noon anyway. Plus, it was supposed to be in the low 50s today, which is about as good as it's going to get until spring, so it seemed like a shame to waste what might be one of the warmest days for the next few months. I still wore seven layers of clothing lol. Other than the tips of my fingers, I wasn't cold, even after the sunset.

Obviously catching my first Aerodactyl was huge. The fact that the game tracker now shows you the nearby landmark made my life so much easier. I had actually just finished walking through the area where it spawned, but since that feature is finally working site wide, it removed all of the frustrating guesswork out of figuring out where it was. I thought I was seeing things at first since a shadow mon is so rare on my tracker these days. It broke out of the first couple of balls, and I held my breath every time, hoping it wouldn't flee. I got it on the sixth ball.

Also hatched one of the new babies (Igglybuff), and the game threw a really high number of 2k eggs at me today. Sadly, only a single 10K egg, which is currently incubating. I didn't get it until I'd already been down there for six hours. I also have one more 2k and seven 5K waiting to hatch in the next couple weeks.

Annoyances - someone put a Farfetch'd in the gym, so now my tracker shows that as "seen." I have several Kubatops but no Kabuto. This is my fault, of course, I evolved my only one while doing a lucky egg session to help get to level 30, but at the time I didn't know the nest in DC had shifted from Kabuto to Rattata (it's shifted again - Vulpix), so I figured I'd just pick up a new one. The app vibrates now when a new mon enters the sightings, which is annoying since before a vibration meant a spawn and would automatically make me lift my phone.

Xmas Raichu looks awesome. I don't have enough candy yet to get 1. I hope I catch a Pikachu worth evolving or catch enough to evolve the good 1 I have plus 1 in a Santa hat.
