Trying an incinerate build out. I'm sure I'll be dead by level 40. Searing bond just seems so dumb and will inevitably get nerfed because everyone is doing it.

I'm totally fine with having searing bond nerfed if they tone down some of the ridiculous invasion bosses... See Julien's last post. You literally have no chance vs something like that...

So is this game always in hardcore mode and when you die you're dead or is there different servers with different game modes?

If you die in hardcore then you're moved into standard

So you start a champ or whatever in hardcore (regardless of choice?) and if he/she dies you play that character on standard?

best experience is in the 4 month leagues though, most of us play invasion, but we also have a handful of ambush folks

Having done this some, I'd suggest you start a character in Ambush and learn the mechanics a little.

You're gonna like insta-RIP in Invasion.

37/27/39/50/22/25 and like a bunch of low level rips for me. Best character was 3k life 77 all in cruel with about 2.2k armor. I was literally facetanking the titty bitch, and then bam 1 shot dead... so ridic back to 42 on my new guy

BODYreader 42 (Spec Throw/Dual Strike Duelist w/ Decoy Totem invader gambit) - DEAD: Don't remember which one but it was a one shot (actual max resists)

MoreLikeRIPclastAMIRITE 37 (LA/Frenzy Ranger) - DEAD: FLAMEBLAST TOTEM one shot (~50% fire resist on this one, and kinda squishy except for Iron Reflexes)

HUforORBZ 43 (LA/Frenzy Ranger, but TANKIER) - ALIVE

Merc piety down. At the time with 7.5k armour, 4k life, 78 c/l, 80 f. Lunaris felt really quite unsafe, piety was pretty fine.

Now have 4.1k life and ~10k armour after the skill points so maybe that will turn the corner, but otherwise might be condemned to docking til ~80.

Hey Hoya, you might want to slow down a little. You were in cruel act 3 when you died, correct? I am at 40 in normal act 3. Granted I don't group, but I am trying to be really cautious.

I'm playing Ambush (mostly as LookOutItsPointy) but I tend to level pretty slow.

At that really annoying point right now (level 30ish) on every character where I have all the skills I want to use, but I can't actually use them without running out of mana every three seconds.
