I'm halfway through my first season of a pitcher at double A and actually think the manager is better than last year. I feel like last year I got pulled a ton way too early, or just in weird spots where you wouldn't expect a starter to get pulled. This year I've had more deep runs into games that felt realistic.

One game I had the feeling that if I gave up another hit I would be pulled around the 7th inning. I had giving up like 7 hits, but 0 runs, but my guy was getting tired. However, I was able to go into the ninth, and just felt like the manager was giving me a chance to get the shutout. I got two outs in the ninth before giving up a hit, and then the manager insta-pulled me, but I felt that was totally realistic.

I'll have to check out the other forum to see about complaints, but so far I think it's better than last year. Also, doubt this is a brag cause I'm sure some of you are like 58-0 or something, but halfway through the first year in double A I'm 11-1 with a 1.40 ERA...but give up a ton of hits...

WRT pulling the pitcher I think this year's is a bit better than last years with RTTS. I've been screwing around with RTTS this year because I want to wait a bit before my franchise(updated rosters ftw, lol) and I've been able to take shutouts into the 9th even after giving up hits and walks.

I heard it was best to wait too, but does that affect RTTS any? I've been holding off until monday (saw something about a player update fix), but I want to go ahead and start RTTS if that's not affected.

I don't really understand the Free Shipping from Amazon. Amazon is saying I won't get my game until the 11th, but it shipped on the 1st from Nevada. I live in Pennsylvania. It doesn't take 9-10 days to get a small box over this way. Do they take the box and just set it aside and wait a day or two between shipping facilities? Do they open the box, play the game, and then repackage it? Seriously, I'm getting anxious and I just want the game. I tried changing the shipping to Release Date, but it didn't give me that option so I just decided to keep it on Free. Now I just want to play!!! Get on your pony!!!

Amazon always gives me long ass estimated but it always arrives days ahead of the estimate. I think it's their way of trying to prod you into paying for shipping.

If you're a big baseball fan, you'll def want to wait until the OS guys get the full Minors roster out. Makes it so much cooler to play.

How easy are they to dl and use?

However, my friend brought his over and I played it while he played Heavy Rain. I think it is a lot better than 09. For some reason I just enjoy it more.

I got drafted by the White Sox. Backup 3B with SS secondary. I'm like .239 0HR after the first month of the season. I don't play everyday. I suck at taking pitches.

My friend helped me out with a few things that made sense, which I had no idea I was doing wrong when playing 09.

I keep crashing at the end of BP.

I don't have a Gamestop near where I live, plus I work nights and sleep during the day so I barely ever see daylight. When I am off I am usually too lazy to do anything.

I didn't care much to have the game on release day anyways. I had Heavy Rain preordered also so I had a game to tie me over. Well, Heavy Rain is finished and after playing my friend's (which he let me borrow tonight anyways), I really want mine now.

With that said, I suck soooo bad at hitting. I got called up to AAA after someone got hurt and my average was .090ish, hovering around .100. I have no idea why they would call me up because my AA average was like .210, no HRs. Whenever I hit the ball it's always to someone. I have yet to hit a HR. Then I got traded to the Yankees! and they said they needed some talent like me. Hm....I can barely even hit the ball.

Any tips? I tried to slow down the pitch speed, but that just takes away the realism of the game, imo.

Very, the show actually put in a mechanism to sort and dl them online. The OS guys will have the one with the most downloads and highest rating at the top of the list :P

Got traded to the Angels, I'm in AAA currently obv. My primary position is 3B with SS as secondary. After I got traded my first game was to PH in the 8th. I figure game over after I strike out. Then it shows the pitcher icons and I'm like WTF? Then I realize I'm the catcher!! Now I have to call every pitch.

Any idea how to disable that? I don't want to get put in as a catcher and have to call every pitch. I just want to bat.

Finished my first season. Drafted by the White Sox, traded to the Yankees, traded to the Angels, traded to the Marlins.

Currently signed a 1yr deal with the Marlins for Season 2 for 64k to play AA. I'm a starter since another guy got hurt before the season started. I'm doing a lot better than Season 1, but it's still frustrating. After about 15 games I am somewhere around .325 average, 1HR, and about 6 RBIs or so.

A couple gripes about the game:
* Seems like I always hit it to somebody.
* I hit it foul way too much.
*Achievements are pretty tough sometimes. I have yet to hit .360 OBP, and if it's an achievement about not striking out, you can be sure I won't be completing that one.
*I didn't like how it made me be the catcher for several games after pinch hitting. It hasn't done it anymore since playing with the Marlins organization.
*Now for some reason out of nowhere it is showing me the first pitch of every game if I'm starting. I don't like it.
*Sometimes during batting practice just before the pitcher releases the ball it'll freeze for about 2-3 seconds. Screws up my timing. Happens very rarely during a real game.

If anybody knows how to fix the first pitch of every game hassle, please let me know! I didn't change any settings.

I don't have the game turned on now, but I'm pretty sure I had that set as every other game I played I was only batting. It was only when I was the catcher that I had to do something other than bat.

I've seen this. Very annoying. Reminds me of Steve Hamilton's "Hesitation Hummer."
