Has anyone played the adventure game Scanner Sombre? It's from the creators of Prison Architect and will definitely be one of the most unusual games you'll ever play. You explore a dark mysterious 3D cave complex that is completely dark. At the start of the game, you are given a LIDAR device to "paint" the surroundings in color. You then need to figure out how to escape.

It has built in VR support which I assume would be crazy wild. Also there is a free demo version available. The game was in the October Humble Bundle.

I haven't stuck with it as much - as puzzles got harder I've found the machine-making to be a little more tedious. It's a little Infinifactory-like but only having two dimensions to work with makes it harder to squeeze things together.

edit: should add that people on my friends list are playing it so that could very well just be my own preference

To be fair the most enjoyable Infinifactory levels were the earlier ones, were you could try to perfect the level to the finest detail. As the levels in these games get harder they mostly get super tedious and the will to replay them/go on get lower and lower.

Holy ****, IGN is coming out swinging it seems. I had no desire to buy any of the previous bundles (except TW:Warhammer) but this one seems really nice, even if DOW3 seems somewhat of a dud.

IGN likely has zero bearing on the current bundles. I would imagine HB at least had them scheduled through the end of the year, especially considering they were shopping themselves around for purchase.

The 2017 Yogscast Jingle Jam bundle is also available for $35 (100% to charity). One game revealed every day from Dec 1 to Dec 25. Last year, some of the games ran out of keys, so early buyers got more games than late buyers.

While I fully expect to own or not want basically all the games that appear in this years bundle, I still got the $35 package.

Firstly - it's fun to see what games that appear every day until christmas (even if I don't really need/want them)

And secondly - I put all my monies towards saving whales and dolphins.
