Was hoping to see more off divinity original sin 2. Its only 5 bucks off. I'm going to buy it anyways but geez was hoping for at least a 10 spot.

New South Park game im going to buy for sure at that price. Then maybe pick up POE and see if i like it. I completely forgot about that game until I read it here. I remembered I wanted to check it out awhile back.

At least when I seen poe i thought of pillars not path of exile. Not sure which u meant. =-)

Oh crap finally going to pick up that new nba2k at 40 bucks thats solid.

Bought Assassin's Creed Origins and Ark Survival Evolved so I'm done for the holidays. Plus I only have 12GB left on my gaming SSD after installing both.

So wish i noticed this last year at this time but i didnt, being Im in Thailand I can buy games for the Thai price which is discounted.

For example Divinity 2 is only 25.00 currently if i make a Thai account and purchase it compared to 40.00 currently in usa..

Interesting enough the new south park is 27.99 in Thailand so you only save a extra 2 bucks. GTA 3 is like 18.20 for a 5.00ish savings. The pillars of eternity is only 10.21 compared to 17.99 usa so big savings on that.

Not sure the basis of how they do discounts on the games. Seems kind of random from what ive seen. The one thing im wondering is will these games be playable in the USA when im there or just in Thailand. Does anyone have a idea?

Going to buy a couple regardless but obv makes a difference on how crazy id go.

My friend did this in Russia and kept his Russian address so he could get cheap games. It's pretty outrageous just how cheaply he gets games.

Pretty sure he can play them from anywhere.

Could be a new type of tourism here. Videogame tourism, first world video game players go to 2nd world countries to buy huge amounts of games to save 20-50% off their favorite titles.

You would have to buy thousands of dollars worth to make it economically feasible, especially if you cant flip them.

Considering video games are something you can pirate very easily, I doubt anyone is willing to spend too much time on it.

Back when I lived in UK for a while, I converted my Steam account to pounds, the games were often 10-15% cheaper than € prices. Kept for few years after coming back to Finland, but eventually switched the account back to Euros.

If you really want 3rd-world country steam prices, you can use VPN to browse Steam and buy games cheaply. You can generally get those same prices at some 3rd-party cd-key stores though.

I can’t figure out the Witcher 3: wild hunt package. Do I get or need Witcher 3 to be able to play wild hunt? Is it an xpac? Stand-alone? Add on that includes the base game? Is there a base game?

All you need to know about Witcher 3 is that you buy anything related to it. At once.

Picked up Steamworld Dig 2 at 35% off - a lot of fun so far. Seems more varied than the first one which got a bit boring and I never bothered finishing.

Any updates from anyone who bought the steam link and how well it works?

I was thinking of getting one for my tv that would be on my wireless network while my PC is wired. Does it work that way or do they have to be the same?

Probably am gonna get Black Mesa for $5 in the sale. Spent way too much time trading away the Jingle extras/duplicates but that tally is 26 extra games now so I guess woooo. The soundtrack is still available above--might take it later just to give it away like I did the one I got heh.

I've never used one, but I've read they aren't very good over wifi, so I have stayed away.

ehhh this steam sale seems unimpressive. Bought "planet coaster" for 11 bucks and hope to relive my glory days of roller coaster tycoon.

any suggestions?

I bought The Witcher 3 without ever playing 1 and playing 2 for like an hour, and my god there's so many menus and items. If you like inventory screens, this game has like 5 different inventories for you.
