Bat kept catching heroes not named AM with blink lasso. Finally caught either both WR and Rubick or WR and ES and neither had enough for buyback, so LGD went all in down mid after getting aegis on Viper.

Prophet got blink lassoed again, AM got blackholed. Managed to kill some supports but core of Viper, Razer still standing. Both buy back but died again, 3 heroes still alive on LGD.

probably should mention both viper and enigma ended the game at like 30k each

they kinda carry harder than prophet lol

sheepstick on razor early was pretty brilliant too

I mean Mouz really didn't have a lot to interrupt blackhole if Rubick is not there.

The Prophet and AM play weren't optimal there either. Prophet can't keep getting caught like that.

Mouz threw super hard.

Mouz has no experience playing this kind of late game split push RAT strategy.

WD build order really depends on style of rest of lineup. Either cask + heal or cask + curse.

THe amount of heal is actually fairly sick though. Oftentimes WD heal is underestimated.

i just really liked the super fast +stats, cause u can see it ramping up at the same time as you get your staff and start almost teamwiping/semi-carrying

was on phone during last game. What happens now if Mouz beats Newbee, making all 3 teams 1-1?

Or is it over now?

I am cheering for DK to win Ti4. I've followed players in DK way too long.

Started watching Dota1 in 2010. This was arguably the beginning of the surge of Chinese Dota. Watching those old matches between Ehome with Burning, MMY (X!!/Dai), KingJ, 357, 820 against the old LGD composed of 2009, Gx, 830, YYF, ZSMJ was such craziness.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMYbhTb9ll8

I remember Ehome going to ESWC 2010, arguably the biggest international tourney at the time, and just destroying everyone in their path going undefeated (not losing a single game/let alone match). Finals vs DTS (Dendi, Artstyle)

Mid Dendi SF vs Mid MMY Lion

After Burning and KingJ left Ehome, Ehome picked up Lanm and crystal as alternates, and despite not at the peak of their strength, managed to grab second place at The International 1, losing in the finals to Na'vi. This is when MMY played solo mid with his signature Tinker and Storm Spirit.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RS3CytoLTb4

In the International 2, 820 retired and Ehome was expected not to make such a great showing but surprised everyone with the then largely unused Wisp + carry Tiny with MMY playing Wisp and Lanm playing Tiny, bringing one of the most exciting games against then heavily favored Orange (Mushi, Winter, Yamateh).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzSnRL8Wgqo

With the reformed DK, MMY moved from Solo mid to support and Lanm moved from carry to support. So now that Lanm is going to retire after this International, and Burning will likely also retire, I really hope that DK wins the big one.

void only 16-26 O_O

im guessing most of those losses are when the razor is on the other side.

also RIP crystal maiden :'(

Am I the only one who has always felt that Slardar is a very strong and solid pick? He can offlane, safelane carry, super fast roshan, trilane as support, he initiates, makes your other carries stronger lategame, can become extremely strong in super late game due to his bashes, gives vision, can chase like almost no one else with super high movespeed+blink.

Magnus has also not been popular recently either. Neither do we see any bounty hunters anymore which used to be IG's bread and butter. Not a lot of Naix either.

In general most of the gank type heroes (you don't see a lot of VS or CM anymore) has been tossed aside in favor of push type heroes.

Watching the IG vs VG game, Chinese commentators were saying that IG got a lot of ganks off early game but couldn't turn those kills in to objectives such as towers or Rosh and that even though VG was down 10k gold, their 5 man teamfight was as strong if not stronger.

This meta seems to favor a lot of heroes who can do a lot of damage safely without a lot of farm (Ember, Brew, DP, Skywrath, Razer, QE invoker).

there were around 4 naix in the last day or two I think, seems to be coming back a bit.

This format is weird. 2 days for phase 3 where only 2 of the remaining 10 teams are eliminated?

Finally finish sand king daily hero challenge after 4 days or so. Reroll and get lina. Favorite hero (Lina) status: 9/10.

Everything's coming up Millhouse.

i guess if you compare a slardar to a bit similar of a hero like centaur, they value the one shot value of a centaur over the endgame bashes
