Damn this staggered worldwide release
on the bright side, indeed there was a UK preload and it's 10gb / 30 already for me with 2 days to go. Also seems the 5gb preload chunk is hard enough to worry about completing without need for concern of the rest of the data lol.
Eurogamer performance analysys:
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/di...mance-analysis making a big deal about frame-pacing issues. I can't see judder on twitch streams, but maybe that smooths it out somehow. I remember how Destiny took a massive leap in smoothness midway through the Beta when the broken frame-pacing was corrected, so even if you don't have any issue with Bloodborne framerate - know that it will get fixed soon with any luck. Should be a relatively easy fix (in my noob mind). It's weird how so many games have had this nasty performance issue this gen, and where applicable across platforms too (CoD: Ghosts, Need for Speed: Rivals, Destiny, Diablo 3: UEE and now Bloodborne and I'm sure I'm missing some). FWIW all were fixed pretty quick. To try and explain in a non-technical manner, the stutter is not the console under performing and dropping frames, it's at a level higher that that where the frames are created ok but not delivered to the display in a consistent timely manner.
They also comment that an SSD will speed loading times by ~25%, which to me suggests there is plenty room for optimization in the code which is hopeful.
