I saw an episode, just one hand of "The Big Game". They're playing 200/400 I think, anyway Rousso limps KJo utg, DN raises to 1600 and one guy w 88 overcalls and Tony G calls in sb or bb with K5ss and Rouso limp/calls as well. Flop comes 8s7s3d. Tony G donkbets and shoves over the guy who hit set(and raised).

Oh also phil cbets KJo on A59ssd, gets one raiser w A5 and DN overcalls(first to act) with AQ(noFD), Hellmuth folded(He ranted about how no one respects his bets etc before folding ldo). Anyway, the guy with A5 checks back 8r turn and DN checksback too, then the flush card Ks hits river, and Daniel blockbets 15 into 85 and guy w A5 calls ldo.

I'm just wondering, wtf is going on, is this std for these kind of games? Like is this optimal play there or smth.

flush draw + overcard + backdoor straight draw + fold equity... youve never seen something like this before?

I don't know if you're being ironic or anything, but 4way pot, he has like zero FE when the guy raises 4x pre on that board + that K isn't any good. + 200 bb deep. Have in mind I typed this with the risk of being leveled. Oh also, I was more talking about pre.

First hand is tony G being an aggro donk.
Second hand seemed a little odd but not too weird. Helmuth was 3betting a lot, so the guy flats A5 with position, prob not expecting DN to come along. The A5 guy flops 2 pair and cbets, DN has TPGK and feels he has to call, not knowing what helmuth is gonna do. The A5 dude checking the turn seemed a little weird to me, but maybe he thought DN looked ****** strong just flatting the Cbet with helmuth yet to act. DN valuebets TPGK on the river thinking his hand is good and gets called by 2 pair.

if your serious about this and would take action from multiple people to make up the few k $ you wanna bet, id def bet somewhere between 500-1k for it, against you.
09-03-2010 , 07:22 PM
I'll definitely be rooting against subs during this bet because of the way he has treated me.

Made my own record in number of hands during one day. Tad short of 3500 hands 4-tabling 6max tables. First <500 hands were great. Won 12.5$ in short order.

Next 3000 were pain in the ass and was actually losing at one point. Ended up 13.3$ up so remaining 3000 hands were 0.8$ up...Kept missing, kept being sucked out and hitting coolers like hitting nut flush and opponent hits full boat. And couldn't fold to their reraise leveling myself believe they would raise with smaller flush(hah!).

Should one call on the river? c/c? Opponent was quite a calling station so IMO b/f seemed better idea especially after he shoved. Can't figure what worse hand calling station would be shoving.

I would bet much bigger every street h1, shove river
09-03-2010 , 07:55 PM
i think the subs prop sounds cool.

i think it would be very hard to do, but also possible for sure. people have done 500k hands/month props may times in the past. with the modest winrate requirement 2:1 seems like its in the right ballpark.

everyone should give him some action and make this thing happen. i want to give him action because i think it would be a fun sweat and a cool accomplishment. i'd be in for a few hundred
09-03-2010 , 07:56 PM
First guy is an 13/11 nit, 2nd guy is a 29/27 reg who would bet the river with any Q or missed draw. Was my first orbit on table, guess he was steaming, but I'm just getting owned in all my big pots no matter what I try to do.
