not unless you have reads that opp is calling with worse. youre not in desperatin mode, and withou reads you cant assume that he calling with worse than 8s. youre basically set mining if you call, id say make it 4200ish and fold to a shove if you play the hand i would probably fold without reads. only luck sacks like Elky can make moves like that and be good IMO.

i would wait for a better hand to go broke with imo. youre still in good shape with a m=17 imo. if your m was closer to 10 or 11 then i would say your play was standard withou reads.

yeah i wouldn't imagine this being too hard if you can get a VNC server on your desktop/lappy and run the client from your iphone. fwiw I used to run a Quake III server like this and play at work. Flawless

Just checking to make sure this isn't a dickish move:

I go into this mexican food place near me, I had never been but a neighbor said it was really good.

I order a burrito, gf orders two tacos, she then leaves to grab something across the street. I go to pay and the lady says their machine is now down. I go to the ATM, and the charge says $2.25, there's a BoA ATM down the street, so I figure I have to wait anyways so I might as well save the charge for my ~$8 meal.

I tell them I'm running to the bank. I notice the woman preparing our food doesn't have gloves on, and she picks something up from the ground and tosses it. Goes back to making our food. I also notice some nats flying around, and open containers of everything (sour cream, cilantro, cheese, lettuce, etc.). On my left I see a food inspection sign that says they failed an inspection in March for having unsanitary containers of food out and for some other reason that escapes me.

I just walked out and didn't come back, rather than telling them I wasn't paying for this stuff that is being cooked for reasons x, x and x.

That's pretty reasonable, no?
10-13-2009 , 04:45 PM
I'd have told them I had no intention of paying as the conditions were rank. The least I would do is walk out and not return.

Are you going to kill your neighbor?
10-13-2009 , 05:05 PM
Std line should be "I'm sorry miss, the conditions here are not acceptable to me. The preparation is too unsanitary, I'm canceling my order" and walking out.
10-13-2009 , 05:17 PM
They didn't speak english well (there was a woman who was ringing me up, some dude that I thought was a busboy that the lady called "boz" which may be "boss" and then this less formal lady who is the one that was preparing our food.

One thing I left out, I asked for hot sauce, and said "red" and she grabbed the green stuff after I said that.

I'm usually more aggressive in these situations, to a fault at times. Like, if I had paid for my food and then saw bugs in it, I would've flipped out.

I just figured there's no sense in starting an argument when 1) I haven't paid 2) the food is already being cooked, so nothing is going to waste that already wasn't 3) These people did not seem like *******s or anything, so they are obviously used to and comfortable working in these **** conditions.

One oversight I may have had is that by telling them that I won't be paying and that the conditions are not satisfactory, it may contribute towards them bitching at their boss for changes, though that is kind of a long shot factor imo, plus they already have the violations displayed and the inspectors must be aware of them (as well as the owner).

hola from NZ!

Been here 15 days now and it feels like months . Auckland was sort of a bore but now we're trekking in the bush and doing some serious business climbing. We climbed Mount Taranaki yesterday and are going back up for some ice climbing tomorrow.

NZ is pretty sick and like everywhere I go, I want to buy a house and live here. The only problem being that internet costs, and I kid you not, $5 for 15 mins in most places. The only place it being reasonable is the library where you get 30 mins free. Oh well, life is good.

hope you all are doing good!
