New tournament format?

Once the MTT's down to 8/16/32 players, the format switches to HU. I'm deep in an MTT atm, down to bellow 80 players, and I'M BORED OUT OF MY MIND!! This new format would make it so much cooler to play MTTs.

This guy played all his premium hands super bad, unreal. Even checking when i limp stuff like K5s. Then I get it in with gutshot + flushdraw vs his overpair and miss every f*cking time. This was payback:
