Are you guys ever successful in trying to pick up girls later that you drunkenly fooled around/hooked up with previously? For instance I always see posts ITT about guys getting drunk, making out with girl X, asking for her number, and then texting/calling her when sober and not getting anywhere. I've never been one to really chase after girls and I've never bothered at all to get in touch with a girl after a random night of hooking up, though I have gotten numbers in the moment. I just never follow through and try to see them again, and I really don't see the upside to it.

If I bump into girl X again the next time I'm out and I haven't persued her outside of our last hookup, I feel like I'm often freerolling another hookup. On the flip side if I tried to initiate contact after the drunken shenanigans, either I fail and it's awkward or I'm successful and get to go on a couple of dates with a girl I'm probably not that into anyways.

I usually tell every girl I will text them, only to make them feel like less of a slut. I will probably actually text 20% of them, and only a quarter of that is for serious things(attempt to take on dates etc), the other 15% is to try and secure a bottom bitch/booty call.

I'm a firm believer in having pretty loose standards for your bootycall(s). That way when they inevitably try to mess it up you're less willing to even entertain the notion of getting more serious.

well just thought I'd let everyone know I personally had a ephiphany (sp? whatever) on what I personally was doing wrong with lots of girls.

For ppl who haven't tried POF, if you're looking for dates (and you're decent looking, can write a good profile, my profile seems to do well) it's definitely worth trying. I've gone on multiple dates with 7+'s where I know I'm in based on looks/etc (sometimes they message me first, bonus) but for whatever reason it wasn't working out.

Reason WAS/IS confidence. I noticed if I'm talking w/ a 5 from class or something, or even a 9 (who has a boyfriend, so strictly platonic and I respect that) I'm normal/funny/chill guy who can make people laugh and enjoy themselves.. Soon as I talk to a 7+ who I'm clearly wanting to bang (and I know there's a possibility she's interested too), I still can make people laugh/enjoy themselves, but the WAY I carry myself/deliver verbatim (the tone I guess?) doesn't show as much confidence as I should. GIRLS will pick up on you being nervous and think WTF is wrong with him LOL. This is me allowing my BRAIN to screw me over out of any chance I had. The best way to 'act' more confident is to 'feel' more confident (duh) I've got a few ideas but if anyone else has any mind tricks/tips I'm open to suggestions.. Fwiw I shouldn't have any reason to think this, I'm good looking/smart/athletic.

Lastly, I DID NOT even realize this until very recently, I'm not in any way changing my behaviour, I just kind of subtely did a few slip-ups here or there that could be interpreted as me being a huge pus.sy or seen as someone who's passive/timid. You look at it from an outside POV or her POV and even if your good-looking this will crush you with 95% of girls especially if there's no alcohol involved, or if there's lots of competition. You're shooting yourself in the foot and it's a self-fulfilling prophecy. Anyways maybe someone will learn from my mistake, and hopefully I'll try and post some good TR's in the near future where I don't **** up as badly haha!

The physical appearance standards should be the same for hooking up or something serious. The difference between serious or not serious is in the other qualities.

No, I've never been there. It is now closed apparently, and it was in the Ameristar casino. That is actually like 20 miles from downtown, so I doubt it was the best club "in" St. Louis. The best clubs are probably at Laclede's Landing, but I just turned 21, so I really can't tell you what is the best or not.

I don't blame them though, it's probably a better location than downtown just to keep out potential undesirables. And going downtown is not convenient for most people that live in the area.
