As far as I know, they are only pushing satellites to the main event. Also, starting tonight, they've added $55 multi-table satellites ($1000 added) to the schedule pretty much every day... (Gotta call the poker room for times; they differ depending on the day) The $55 satellite winners receive $165 tickets, which can be used in the MTT $165 satellite Saturday at 3:00pm, or for any of the $165 single table satellites being run from now until the start of the main event on the 30th.

Definitely DO NOT take the bus. Talk about a grind. If you have no car, take the train. 8 hr train ride from penn station. Good ride, I used to take it all the time.

Also many good cheap hotels all within walking distance from the casino (approx $50/night)

Just dont take the greyhound or regular scheduled buses that make stops. Those would be a major grind with all the stops they make

I'm going to try to have them put a 165 sat up tonight/tomorrow day. Rumor has it the rooms been busy again with the death off online poker so maybe it has a shot of going.

A regular player from the room just told me next Thurs they a spreading a 5k min cash game, alternating NL & Omaha every 30 min. He said the game will start as invite only because the pros coming want to make sure they have a seat, but after it starts it will be open to anyone.

Anyone else have details on this ???

Thanks for all the infos/tips. I did not find a charter, thought there would be one too. But also did not realize it was an 8+ hr trip at that point either.. Seems the best way I could find was fly/train to buffalo then metro bus/shuttle to the casino. Don't think I'll be able to make this one. The travel costs were just too much, but I do look forward to making the trip at some point. gl

Last 165 mts is friday 7pm ( top 10 percent go)
Last 165 sng sat is 11am
Structure change on the single confirmed 4500 in chips, 15 min rounds blinds start 25/50. Played one Saturday after busting out of the mtt, it was much more aggro. 2 players were busto before round 2 started.

Today is the first event: $175 buy-in at noon. My guess is this will be one of the least popular events during the week. Based on the large amount of pre-entries to the $1500 main event through satellites, they're now projecting close to 250 for that tournament, which will more than double the $150,000 guaranteed prize pool...

Yeah... It's funny because in years past, it was the opposite: smaller events would attract the most runners. For some reason, everything about this week of events seems to be different. Like you said, people are "shooting for the gold" instead of the silver/bronze tournaments! I'm hoping for the room/tournament to be mobbed this week... The employees there seem to suggest that nothing ever gets done around there in the way of improvements unless they show a tremendous amount of profit for events like this. New tables would be a start, considering they never got them for this event!

Well they got the new felt at least which is cleaner, and the increase in the (2)5/10 game is also a good sign. The real test will be mid next month how the rooms still doing. If the Death of online plus the lost of all the degens tax money is still keeping the room semi full.

It's an absolute madhouse here. I thought they were putting all the prelim tourneys in a separate room, but apparently not. I got shut out of the tournament, guess I'll wait over an hour for a cash game seat

late reg usually goes till second round (generally speaking ) for them. The reason the first sold out is more then likely the lack of room in the main poker rooms and not the tournament area. My guess is there cap is around 400, which is super lofty for them. Socc can probably answer where it capped at yesterday.

1/2, [100m and 200m] 2/5 [500 m] (2)5/10 [Thats a 2 a 5 and a "mandatory" 10 dollar straddle, so the gamblers can get in on the bbj, 1k max] <usually only weekends but I can see it going tonight - Sunday>

last Saturday they spread a 1/3 [300m] PLO game as well.

Tonight they have a 5k min buy in game with the poker "stars" thats invite only, if you bring a roll with you to play it though you will get in ,they are just reserving seats for the rooms biggest players first then its open seating.

best game to play is the 1/2 (200) or the 2/5
