I was just curious from looking over the structure for the megas. What does it mean when they talk about tie breakers between two player.......

Levels will last 15 minutes in length.
Ten (10) minute break after Levels 8 and 16.
Player will win a $1,500 entry to play in the $150,000 GUARANTEED NO LIMIT HOLD'EM POKER TOURNAMENT to be played 30, April, 2011 at Noon in the Poker Room.
Entries are non-transferable, non-refundable, and non-negotiable.
Tiebreaker between two players: highest chips will play. If chips are identical, high card in hand (suits play) will break tie.
Tournament Supervisor decisions are final and without recourse.

I think I have this figured this out. Sounds like if you lose two players on the same hand during hand for hand they are going by chip count. If they have the same amount of chips it goes by high card in hand by suit.

Usually during hand for hand if two players are at separate tables and bust on the same hand they chop the prize. If two players go out on the same hand at the same table then if goes by chip count. Never heard of it going by suit. Seems interesting.

Wondering if anyone has played there and had this happen.

Yeah...probably an extremely rare occurrence, but something that needs to be in the rules "in case it happens". (i.e. two tables hitting the bad beat at the same time)

On a side note, almost 40 players on Saturday for the $165 qualifier, with still over a month away. Also, the buzz from north of the border seems to be increasing, so I'm thinking 200+ people for this event is not out of the question.

FT meaning Full Tilt? I'd be interested in these if they exist. Rather not drive up 1.5 hours each way to try and hit the satellites....

The amount of people on a Friday night has been increasing as the weeks go on. What started as 20-25 has grown to over 40 since last week. Same with the direct qualifier. They've given away 4 seats the last couple of weeks, vs 1 or 2 in the first couple of weeks. Interest is obviously growing as we're only 3 weeks away... I'm still stuck at the $165 direct qualifier level. Keep getting my tickets in the $55 just to fall short on Saturdays...

Played one Saturday fwiw. Got there at 9:30 PM and they ran it at 9:45 but no one signed up for any others. There wasn't even an option for the 165 at night anyway. I think they do some 55 MTT sat too , but I might just try and grind out the buy at the 2/5 tables.

Killa, I was there Saturday too, they have the 165 MTT at 3pm. I think there were 42 or 43 runners

Someone said they were putting "extra" in the pools . I doubt Seneca was , I am guess the players were all tossing in an extra 25-40 bucks to make an extra seat? I wasn't following what they were saying.
Sadly i can't get up there until the actually trny weekend. I will try again that saturday , i will probably just buy directly into the mtt or i would prefer a s+g sat if I can get one.

Seneca adds $1000 into each of the $55 satellite pools. Also, in my experience, I've noticed that players in the room tend to create a ton of single table satellites within a day or so of the actual event, even the morning of. Another thing to note: I talked to one of the bosses, and the single table satellite structures might change a little within a couple days of the event, in an attempt to get more of them going. As it stands right now, those single table $165s with the 7000 in tournament chips are a great structure as far as getting your monies worth, but they take a little too long to complete if you're in a hurry. At least with quicker satellites run on the morning of the event, you can bust out 2-4th and have time to enter another...right now, busting out 2-4th was just a waste of your 3 hours, and you run the risk of not getting a shot at another satellite...

This Saturday is the last chance to enter a MTT satellite for the $1500 event on April 30th. They are anticipating 80-100 players, which would award 8-10 seats into the main event. Single table satellites are picking up steam, so by the week of the event, there should be plenty of those running, as well. With the downfall of online poker, and the appeal of the structure of this event, they're anticipating 200+ runners for the main event, which would make 1st place $80,000+, depending on if the entrants are right around 200...

Was the last MTT this past Saturday or this one coming up? This also might mean they get a (2)5/10 NL going finally. However I doubt I'd play it since the regular 2/5 is so juicy. In any case I will be up Thursday night it seems.

This Saturday coming up is the last MTT/satellite. (April 23rd) This past Saturday, there were not one, but two (2)5/10 NL games AND two regular 2/5 games. Not quite sure if the downfall of internet poker had anything to do with it, but one of the staff members told me it was their busiest non-holiday/non-promotion weekend the room has ever seen. The week of April 27th-May 1st might be the week the room breaks records for attendance, with all of the buzz and anticipation for the $1500 main event. As of right now, there are just about 40 qualifiers for the ME through satellites alone, which (compared to the past) is about 40 more satellite winners that they've had two weeks before the event. LOL! My guess would be that by the time the ME kicks off on the 30th that we'll see over 70 qualifiers through satellites alone. Adding the direct buy-ins to that should make this event a 200+ runner tournament.
