Also, anyone know whether ME seat winners have to play on Fri? If not, what's the situation - can they pick or are seats awarded for one day in particular for each Fri. and Sat.?

For the WSOPC main they always announced they were for day 1 only, but I had a conflict and they changed mine to day 2. Not sure about this one.

I have heard of people changing their WSOPC ME seat to a different day, but this time around I have not heard of anyone being able to switch.

When they high carded for the giveaways they would announce beforehand "please do not take a card if you cannot play on Friday March 21st" so I think they were enforcing Friday this time.

My guess is this is in order to encourage rebuys.

You can pick, but you have to pick when you win the seat.

They said don't take a card when I won my seat for the wsopc too unless you could play day 1...but I did anyway, won the seat, told them my situation and they changed it.

I played a few tournaments and I can honestly say the amount of bitching about the rake was comical.

If you feel you're being screwed or it's BS, then stay home or go play the Venetian. People look silly crying about it then rebuying with same vig 20 min later.

While I agree that the rake was a ridiculous in event #1 and in the 7pm nightly (30%). You are correct, if you don't like it, don't play, and if you do play don't complain. If these keep getting big turnouts the rake is not going to go down.

Good plan, everyone stay silent about it and let it go up on the next one.

Last I checked there was no casino next door with a $200+XX tournament awarding $100,000 to first.

Supply and demand folks. Also you could have picked up at least one $15 meal voucher. 2 if you were proactive. Every bit of value counts.

so a $15 meal voucher that gets you maybe $5 worth of crappy food is supposed to make us thankful? They don't even give them at registration either, not until at least 2nd break of a tournament and since they are all hyper turbos a lot of people are gone by then. I know you can always get a voucher if you ask someone nicely, but most people dont. For the prices they charge they could at least give them out at registration.

Thanks, much appreciated. Pretty surprised at the low turnout today, but then again, most of the free seats had to play yesterday.

$200 is correct. 529,400 total prize pool(before 2K taken out for each multiple day 1 survivor) divided by total entrants of 2647 equals $200. This information can be found here. It is a high rake to be sure.

It was $200 and people still lined up to play. I'm hoping HW Columbus will put on something similar and use the rake $ to buy the cameras they are saying they cannot afford.

just so the people who organize this know, if you are going to run an event with really high rake add some money to the prize pool from the bad beat fund. i understand it is not really fair to the cash players but out of town people are not going to support these rake fests forever.

Chicago Poker Classic gets away with ridiculous rakes on their nitely tourneys during the series but when you factor back in the added money they are not bad deals at all. Cinci needs to do the same thing to get out of town people. (i understand cinci did this for other tourneys and satellites but if they want to do this in the future and not miss the guarantee they are going to need to add back money to this event.
