I am very excited about August in Biloxi. I will be playing a couple WSOP Circuit events at the IP, then a couple days off and the Beau Rivage starts. I had a good May at the WSOP in New Orleans(3rd in event #4, and 18th in the main). I am hoping to keep that going into August. I plan on playing every event possible at the Beau. I am looking forward to the first event 250k. Johnny, can we sign up on Friday night for event one, and if so, what time is registration open until at night. I love the way things are run in Biloxi, especially at the Beau. It is nice to make dinner break and they give vouchers to eat. Good luck to everyone in Biloxi. It should be a very busy month on the coast.

You can call 228-386-7254 and ask for Johnny or Donna to book the room. If you do not reach us, PLEASE leave a voicemail, and one of us will call you back shortly. We are probably on the phone booking rooms if we don't answer.

We will be in the office Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm central time.
Johnny,

Thanks for all the great info in this thread.

Question: If I am coming down for the main event only, can I book rooms for Sat, Sep 1 and Sun, Sep 2 under the poker rate for only that one event (meaning 2 nights for only 1 tournament played)? If I make a run in the event, I obviously won't have time to play in the cash games.

Is that weekend sold out already anyway?

thanks.

Johnny and any others who play here during tournament series,

How is the cash action during this time? Is it reasonable to assume 5/10 runs with more than one table and around the clock? How about PLO games?

There are rooms available for all dates of the tournament. For the main event, playing in that one event will be good enough to get the room rate for the last couple days of the tournament.

We usually spread the following games:

4-8 and sometimes 10-20 limit hold'em

6-12, 10-20 1/2 kill, and 20-40 Omaha 8 or better

1-2, 2-5, 5-10, and 10-25 NL hold'em. 2/5 and 1/2 around the clock. 5/10 about 90% of the time,

2-5, 5-10, and 10-25 PLO.
25/50 blind $300 spread limit mixed triple draw lowball/baudgi.

All our PL and NL games play pretty substantially higher than most markets, due to uncapped buy ins. PLO games have optional MS straddle (imagine that, here in MS).

Room booked. Thanks for the reply.

On a side note, I noticed on the officially tourney flier that the daily resort fee was $7.49 but it is actually $9.63 now.

I will look into this... I know we made a resort fee rate change, but thought the resort fee had been changed on the flier as well.

This during the tourney series. Normal business is 1-2 and 2-5 NL, with a 2-5-10 game on the weekends. We also have 4-8 limit holdem.

During the week we spread 6-12 Omaha hi lo, and on weekends we spread the 2 games of 10-20 hi lo with a half kill, and also a 15-30 limit hold'em/limit Omaha high game.

The only other game we regularly spread is 2-5 or 5-10 PLO on weekends.

It's getting close! If there are any 2+2 er's out there that are on the fence about coming to this event, you need to call by Tuesday to get a room for the opening weekend. We have about 20 rooms available for e opening weekend right now, and I expect a ton of voice mails over the weekend.

After falling short of the guarantee on the main event in Tunica, and running against the Winstar event, there is a good chance of overlay on the main event. If you need rooms, call me at 228-386-7253.

Incidentally, I am taking suggestions for a new event type at the January event at Beau Rivage. We will have a winner-take- all event with no chops allowed, but are looking for suggestions on something different. Any ideas?

I am not sure how other people feel, but I would like to see one of the ante only tournaments. It is something different. I also liked the mixed no limit holdem in the WSOP. Play day one 9 handed, day two 6 handed, and the final day, heads up matches. I don't know how practical that would be with time restraints and other tourneys, but it would be unique. Just my two cents worth.

As 4Acers said I would love to see an ante only event as well. Not very wild about the winner take all, but ante only would be awesome.

Ante-only is a definite possibility, as is mixed hold'em.

Eric and I will definitely consider those as possibilities.

Very possible. They haven't done well in this market, but I am open to try anything.

I think a Shoot-out tourney would be more attractive then an "Winner take All" tourney. What about running 10/9-man "Winner take All" SnG's?

+1 to ante only
+1 on 8 Game

Limit O.E. or H.O.?

Is the Mixed Holdem confirmed?

oh of course Thanks Johnny for all the hard work you do

Johnny, just rereading the thread to see what I have overlooked and noticed your post on this. I assume this means the $100 nitely @ 7pm? The funds for this is coming out of the nitely prize pool or from the juice?

Another question that may already be answered but I cannot find it here on the structure sheets. On the multi-day tournaments like event 1, what time does Day 2 resume, I heard 2pm. And does Day 2 play down to a FT or set time, or something else?

Also, where does registration take place, and can we register Thurs, 8/23 for event 1A?

Thanks
