Guys, how about this Omega Seamaster 2010 olympics edition? I kind of like the red dial more then the orange omega dials, and 2010 will be a special year for me so its kind of symbolic

I like it. Why will 2010 be special for you?

I'm looking to buy a new watch and I stated what I'm looking for here. Two brands I have been considering are Tourneau and (thanks to a suggestion ITT) Longines:

Which one do you guys like best? I think they're all 33-34 mm. They're all swiss quartz because that's what I want but I'd like to hear your thoughts on Tourneau in particular. Is it a respectable brand? The first two Longines run in the $600 range and the Tourneau I think was around $1450 but that's retail and of course I wouldn't pay that without getting a ~25% discount. With those watches will I be getting a good quality : cost ratio or should I spend a few hundred dollars more and get a Tag Heuer?

They are fairly similar, and I am torn between the rubber band in both and the metal. Also the first one is listed at 42mm and the 2nd is 40.5mm, I prefer the first but I have really skinny wrists and am not sure if the smaller 40.5 would look a bit better. Thoughts?
Silky;

Saw your post 5 pages back; I got the one on top and actually love it. Just know it's blue not black! I posted about in the first big watch thread...

"Commemorative Model" = Regret in the long run

If you want to commemorate something, have the case back inscribed. Gaud and tack emblazoned on the watch is just gross, unless you're an Olympic athlete, or something like that, where the event being commemorated has relevance to your own life (all IMO, of course)

This one is pretty benign, but as the years drew on, the olympic logo on the second hand would always annoy the **** out of me, but that's just me

Definitely +1 this, get a nice watch and have it personalized with some neat engraving. Might be difficult with a seamaster though because of the giant sea-horse!

I really love this piece. Ditch the strap and get a zulu or buy the version with the bracelet.

One thing about titanium, it's stronger and lighter than steel but it is much, much softer so it scratches very easily (if it's not carbon treated, which this watch is not). Some people like this since it gives the watch an aged look in a hurry. Just something to be aware of.

One thing I really like about the SNA141 is that the subdials do not "eat" the index numerals. That's one of those things that just bugs the **** out of me on chronos. I wish seiko would stop cluttering their dials with "chronograph" and "titanium" markings, though.

I bought this watch yesterday. Got it today. I'm not 100% sure if I like it now that I see it in person. Band feels really nice, it's titanium... I haven't been able to size it yet, due to some other circumstances. What do you guys think?

luego,

i really like that watch but have had massive trouble finding it actually for sale anywhere. =( i think when i looked for it (which was a long time ago) everyplace was either super sketchy or sold out/backordered. i was able to find similar pieces, but meh.

Face is a tad busy, but I like the watch. Can't go wrong with a Citizen. How big is it?

46mm.

I was unfamiliar with watch sizes and things like that when I bought it. I personally like a little bigger face, but I really like the look of this one. I'm going to keep it, and bonus points because the girlfriend digs it too and thinks it's the perfect size.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. Not my type of watch, but I do like it if you like that kind of look.

Jesus Christ, a real work of art.

Will try to upload a thread saver in the next few days (not that it would compete with a Voutilainen.)
