I just added my first Rolex to the collection this past weekend so maybe I'm just biased...

Haha. No, I went on the fence back and forth but ended up going with the 16750. Really excited and pleased with it though.

Faded pepsi the way to go! I miss my old one, the fade on the bezel was so amazing. Pic should be in this thread somewhere but I cant be bothered searching.

Hey guys,
I've got a problem. I have already bought a nice watch some time ago which I like and thought it's pretty universal. What do you think of it by the way? Will post pictuers of it on my wrist if someone is interested .
Now I think it's kind of meh for wedding type parties...sooo I'm thinking of getting something more elegant.
Someone posted Tissot few pages ago which seems like a nice watch. I'm thinking of this one:

TISSOT MENS COURTURIER T035.617.16.031.00

Well, to me it looks nice, kind of modern + classic which is what I'm looking for. Tissot also sound like a nice brand, although probably isn't great (how high do you rate it btw?).
If not this one.. what are my other options. Price range of above tissot +-100USD.

Also: Is it a sign of addiction ??? Never thought I'll think of buying another watch after buying first one.. lmao...
Cheers!

Get a Tissot Vissodate if you are wanting a dress watch.

Pepsi is the classic man . Though if I could have found a Bakelite 1675 that didn't cost 20k plus I love that look the most.

Agree. Need to make sure to wear mine a ton to get that fade started may just hunt around for a faded bezel to replace this one with but that feels a little like cheating.

What general watch buying advice would you guys give to someone (me) who's average height/build but has super skinny wrists?
With my last couple of watches I've had to remove a bunch of links from the metal strap from one and poke a new hole in a leather strap.

EDonk I'm sure that is a replacement bezel on yours anyway so buying a new(old) one isn't really cheating!

I had a quick look back for a picture of my old one but could only see this group shot. There is a really sexy pic of it standalone somewhere but it isnt coming up when i search 16700 and I'm not looking manually!

that bezel is sexy but imo a 1675 looks soooooooo much better with a maxi than a gloss dial.

That's a fair justification - I am nearly certain that the bezel is a replacement

well divers are probably overrepresented because they're currently trendy. And (almost) all Rolex pieces you're going to run across are built around the oyster case which is essentially designed for diving.

But outside of that it's not at all a given.

Got a giggle out of it as this is basically IWC's direct competitor for that way too bulky Milgauss.

Well it took them a while but IWC finally has an in house chronograph movement and of course they should first put it in the Portuguese.

slightly pricy at $14,000 but looks pretty nice

On another topic, a long time back, we did a survey in this thread where each person stated a dream watch collection composed of a $500, a $5000, and a $50,000 watch. At the time, I picked the Dufour Simplicity but those probably go for more than $50,000 assuming they even enter the market.

These days I would probably go for something like this in that price bracket

Haven't they been using that in the DaVinci and Ingy for a while now? Maybe some other models, too.

It's effin sweet though, the subdials are brilliant.

you mean the comment that was accompanied by a " :P " smiley face?

that's the comment you're talking about right?

the one with the tongue out face next to it that universally implies joking?

just making sure we're talking about the same comment.
